摘要： A hydraulic control system of a friction device where fail-safe is required is provided with one oil pressure switch and one pressure changeover valve. The pressure changeover valve is switched by auxiliary oil pressure based on an operation of the oil pressure control valve. When an auxiliary port communicates with an input port and the pressure changeover valve is switched to the filling determination side, the oil pressure switch is turned on and “filling determination” can be carried out. When the auxiliary port is disconnected from the input port, the pressure changeover valve is switched to the fail-safe determination side. The oil pressure switch is supplied with the same driving oil pressure as of the friction device and “fail-safe determination” can be carried out from the on/off state of the oil pressure switch.

摘要： A method for controlling a particle diameter and a particle diameter distribution of emulsion particles during manufacturing of an emulsion dispersion is provided. The method includes causing two or more types of liquids substantially immiscible with each other to continuously and sequentially pass through net bodies. The net bodies are disposed in a cylindrical flow passage at intervals of 5 to 200 mm, and the number of the net bodies is more than 50 and 200 or less. Each of the net bodies is equivalent to a gauze having a mesh number of 35 mesh to 4000 mesh in accordance with an ASTM standard and has a surface that intersects the direction of the flow passage. An emulsification apparatus used for the method includes a feed pump for feeding two or more types of liquids substantially immiscible with each other; and a cylindrical flow passage to which the two or more types of liquids fed by the feed pump are delivered. A predetermined number of net bodies are disposed in the cylindrical flow passage at predetermined intervals, and each net body has a surface intersecting the direction of the flow passage.

A particle bunch shaper can use less expensive and smaller electrical waveform generators when the particle bunch shaper uses a nanocrystalline magnetic material. High voltage switches are examples of electrical waveform generators. A pipe with two conductive sections separated by a ceramic gap can be run through the center of cores made with the nanocrystalline magnetic material to produce the particle bunch shaper. A voltage waveform transmitted from an electrical waveform generator, through a damping circuit, and through a coupling wire running adjacent to the pipe sections can shape charged particle bunches.

The control method varies the command value input to an engaging-side electromagnetic valve that adjusts a hydraulic pressure applied to a frictional element to be engaged in a target gear in a specific time period, then determines a time variation in another time period of the hydraulic pressure applied to the frictional element that is adjusted by the engaging-side electromagnetic valve according to the input command value and detected by a detecting means. Determination of whether gear shifting is permissive or not on the basis of the time variation is thus determined.

摘要： An automatic transmission control system equipped with a shift lever position sensor which includes a plurality of switches which output binary signals following a shifting motion of a gear shift lever. Patterns of combinations of the switch outputs are preselected so as to represent positions to which the gear shift lever is manually shiftable. The switches are broken down into two groups each of which produces a binary code carrying information about the position of the gear shift lever to monitor a failure in operation of the shift lever position sensor. The control system also works to perform a deemed D-position hydraulic transmission control to ensure the running of the vehicle even if the shift lever position sensor is failing.
