    • The present invention relates to a method and a communication network node for enabling auto-tuning of preamble sequences used during random access procedures when user equipments (18) are accessing a communication network system comprising radio base stations (15) each serving at least one cell (19) and with which said user equipments (18) are communicating on uplink (13) and downlink (12) channels. An initial set of RACH preamble sequences in one cell of a radio base station (15) and statistics on RACH usage and information on identified RACH preamble sequences potentially conflicting between neighbours of said radio base station (15) is collected. The collected statistics is used for optimizing said set of RACH preamble sequences, whereby the initial set of RACH preamble sequences is replaced with the optimized set of RACH preamble sequences.

    • A method in, and a network node (110, 140), for supporting compensation of cell outage in a cellular communications network (100). The cellular communications network (100) comprises a compensating cell (135) for compensating the cell outage and a supporting cell (115) neighboring the compensating cell (135). The network node (110, 140) obtains (502, 1202) a sub-band of a system bandwidth for uplink scheduling of resources for the compensating cell (135). The network node (110, 140) schedules (503, 1203), in response to the cell outage, resources for the supporting cell (115) with restricted uplink scheduling within the sub-band. The network node applies (504, 1204) the scheduled resources in the supporting cell (115), thereby supporting the compensation of cell outage. As a result, higher Signal to Interference and Noise Ratio (SINR) is enabled in the uplink in the compensating cell. This may e.g. be utilized to let the compensating cell cover a larger area of an outage cell than else would be possible, and/or to serve user equipments located therein with improved performance.

    • Methods, user equipment (120) and target base station (130) for supporting update of neighbor cell relations in a cellular communications network (100). The user equipment (120) switches from being served in the source cell (115) by the source base station (110) to instead being served in the target cell (135) by the target base station. The user equipment sends (304, 403), to the target base station (130), in association with the switching, an identifier of the source cell (115) in the cellular communications network (100) and a request for mobility report. The request for mobility report requests the target base station (130) to send a mobility report to the source base station (110) or a management entity (140) thereof. The mobility report reporting that a successful switch has taken place between the source cell (115) and the target cell (135), thereby enabling updating of the neighbor cell relations based on the mobility report. Hence, reporting back of successful cell switching is enabled even when the target base station is unprepared by the source base station about the switching. Neighbor cell relations of at least the source base station may be updated based on the mobility report.

    • Methods, network control nodes, network nodes and user equipments for assisting the updating of neighbor cell information when a new cell is introduced, or added, to an already existing radio access network are described in this disclosure. According to an example embodiment a signal is transmitted, from a first network control node 10 associated with RAN1 to a second network control node 20 associated with RAN2. This signal comprises a cell identity CI1, e.g. a Local Cell Identity LCI1, of the newly introduced cell C109, which is added to RAN1. Next, the second network control node 20 of RAN2 receives the signal comprising the cell identity CI1 of this newly introduced cell C109. In response, the second network control node 20 transmits, to at least one user equipment 30e associated with the RAN2, a signal comprising the received cell identity CI1 of the newly introduced cell C109 as well as a request to the at least one UE 30e associated with RAN2 to search for the newly introduced cell C109 of RAN1, which is controlled by network node 40.

    • A method in, and a network node (110, 140), for supporting compensation of cell outage in a cellular communications network (100). The cellular communications network (100) comprises a compensating cell (135) for compensating the cell outage and a supporting cell (115) neighbouring the compensating cell (135).
