    • An apparatus and method of configuring a number of retransmissions for an automatic repeat request (ARQ) scheme (e.g., hybrid ARQ) includes configuring one or more first maximum retransmission numbers based on respective one or more first predetermined values and independent of a second maximum retransmission number. The first maximum retransmission numbers may indicate a maximum number of retransmissions related to respective service flows operational with the base station. The second maximum retransmission number may indicate a maximum number of retransmissions related to control messages transmitted in the wireless network, and may be configured based on a second predetermined value. The configuration of the first maximum retransmission numbers may include the maximum retransmissions numbers associated with a specific user in communication with the base station. Further, at least one of the first maximum retransmission numbers of a particular user may be reconfigured to a third predetermined value.

    • A method of operating a communication system comprises exchanging initial communications between a wireless communication device and a communication network over a wireless connection between the wireless communication device and a network access system and over a network connection between the wireless device and the communication network. The method further comprises, in response to a loss of the network connection due to a deterioration of the wireless connection, determining if a partial network entry process is possible to regain the connection, and if the partial network entry process is possible to regain the network connection, performing the partial network entry process. The method further comprises, in response to an improvement of the wireless connection and upon regaining the network connection, exchanging new communications between the wireless communication device and the communication network over the wireless connection and the network connection.

    • The present invention relates to systems and methods for establishing a data-path between a mobile station and a home access service network gateway (“ASN-GW”). During the authentication process, a visited ASN-GW receives a first message that identifies a home ASN-GW associated with the mobile station. After the mobile station has been authenticated, the visited ASN-GW receives a first data-path request message from a base station serving the mobile station, requesting a path for data-packet communication for the mobile station that extends between base station and the visited ASN-GW. The visited ASN-GW responsively uses the received identification to send a second data-path request message to the home ASN-GW which requests a path for data-packet communication that extends between the base station and the home ASN-GW. Once the data-path has been established, the home ASN-GW may monitor and/or place restrictions on the data being transmitted to and from the mobile stations.

The method includes: detecting a first GOS to be displayed, the first GOS being a primary GOS or one of at least one secondary GOS; determining the kind of the first GOS, so that different display control register bank(s) and graphics card memory resources are allocated to the first GOS depending on whether it is a primary GOS or a secondary GOS; controlling the display control register bank(s) allocated to the first GOS to connect to a display output port; obtaining display contents based on the graphics card memory resources allocated to the first GOS; and displaying the display contents based on display mode parameters in the display control register bank(s) connected to the display output port. According to the present invention, it is possible to share the graphics card among the multiple OSs without modifying the drivers of the primary GOS.

    • The present invention provides a method for sharing a graphics card among multiple Operation Systems (OSs) and a computer system. The method comprises: detecting a first GOS to be displayed, the first GOS being one of at least two GOSs; calling a correspondence table to determine a first display control register bank corresponding to the first GOS, the first display control register bank including display mode parameters therein; controlling the first display control register bank to connect to a display output port; and displaying the first GOS based on the display mode parameters. According to the inventive method and computer system, it is possible to achieve sharing of the graphics card among the multiple OSs and quick display of the GOS to be displayed, without simulating registers of the graphics card.
