The dispensing closure includes a closure body with an upper and lower deck, inner and outer skirt, and a flow conduit extending through the upper deck. The outer skirt is configured to mount to a product container. The flow conduit includes including two or more vertically oriented walls and a bottom wall. The bottom wall configured and arranged to be positioned along a horizontal axis. The flow conduit includes one or more entrance orifices having one or more entrance axes and an exit orifice having an exit axis. The entrance axis is stepped or offset from the exit axis whereby the flow conduit provides a non-linear flow path of product from an interior of the closure to an exterior of the closure.

摘要： A dispensing closure for a container is disclosed. The dispensing closure includes a closure body including an upper wall having a dispensing orifice. The closure body further includes an upper peripheral skirt depending from the upper wall, a closure deck depending from the upper peripheral skirt, and a lower peripheral skirt depending from the closure deck. The lower peripheral skirt has a diameter larger than the upper peripheral skirt. The lower peripheral skirt is configured to be mounted on a container. A cap having an upper wall and a wall flange depends from the upper wall. A hinge body is also included. A first living hinge joins a first end of the hinge body to the lower peripheral skirt and is hingeably movable from an open position to a closed position in facing mating relation with the upper peripheral skirt. The hinge body and the upper peripheral skirt include interfitting mating formations to secure the hinge body in facing mating relation with the upper peripheral skirt. A second living hinge joins a second end of the hinge body to the sealing cap. The sealing cap is hingeably movable from an open position to a closed position overlying the upper wall of the closure body. A latch bump is also included and may be located on either the closure deck adjacent to the hinge or on the hinge adjacent to the closure deck. A latch bead is formed on the upper wall of the cap.

摘要： A dispensing closure for a container includes a closure body, a cap and a hinge body joining the cap to the body. The closure body includes an upper wall having an orifice and further includes an upper skirt depending from the upper wall, and a lower skirt depending from the upper skirt. The lower skirt has a diameter larger than the upper skirt. The cap has an upper wall and a wall flange depending therefrom. A first living hinge joins a first end of the hinge body to the lower skirt. The hinge body is movable from an open position to a closed position in mating relation with the upper skirt. The hinge body and upper skirt are formed with complementary surfaces to provide a flush outer surface contour when mated together. The hinge body and upper skirt further include mating formations to secure the hinge body with the upper skirt. A second living hinge joins a second end of the hinge body to the cap, wherein the cap is movable from an open position to a closed position overlying the upper wall of the closure body. The dual hinge construction allows the cap to have a smaller diameter than the skirt of the closure body.

A stop wall, comprising a pair of ribs mounted for pivotal movement, is formed in the interior of the body of the closure; a gap is centrally located between the ribs. A radially projecting lug, which is triangular when viewed in side elevation, is formed on the sloping collar of the container; a dovetailed segment is defined at the free end of the lug. The collar on the closure has interrupted beads, so that the dispensing closure is secured to the container by snapping the interrupted beads over the annular bead on the neck of the container. The ribs of the stop wall flex pivotally outwardly when contacting the outer end of the lug. The dispensing closure is rotated relative to the container, in either the clockwise or counterclockwise direction, so that the dovetailed segment of the lug projects into the central aperture in the stop wall; the free ends of the ribs engage the dovetailed segment and lock the closure into proper alignment with the container.

摘要： A tamper indicating seal for a dispensing closure that is secured to a container to discharge the contents thereof. Closure induces a depending skirt, and a planar top surface, with a cavity defined within the top surface. A spout is located within the cavity, and may be pivoted between a horizontal, closed position and a vertical, open position. The unique seal comprises a thin plastic tab, with frangible members depending below, to secure the tab to the upper surface of the spout in an overlying relationship. The frangible members are durable enough to form an effective seal, yet weak enough to fracture when the spout is pivoted toward its vertical position. The tab, when severed from the spout, is used as a proof of purchase indicator. The absence of the seal clearly indicates to the user that someone has attempted to gain access to the contents of the container.
