    • A fastener for anchoring in a bore in a bone has a screw extending along an axis and having a substantially cylindrical outer surface formed with a helical screwthread. The screw has at the screwthread a thread diameter and between the turns of the thread at the surface a root diameter smaller than the thread diameter. An anchor sleeve normally fitted in the bore and of an outside diameter corresponding generally to the diameter of the bore has an outer end formed with a laterally projecting rim normally lying against the bone around the bore, an outer end portion of an inside diameter greater than the root diameter but smaller than the thread diameter, and an inner end portion of an inside diameter smaller than the root diameter. Thus when the screw is threaded into the sleeve its thread cuts into the outer portion without substantially deforming and spreading same and into the inner portion with substantial outward deformation and spreading of same.

    • An arrangement for anchoring a mounting element in a hole of a masonry and the like with the use of binding material has a sleeve-shaped mounting element insertable in the hole and having an axis and an inner bore adapted to receive therein a threaded element, a plurality of retaining members arranged on the mounting element for fixing the latter in the hole, which retaining members extend transversely to the axis of the sleeve-shaped element and taper towards a wall of the hole, and a flange arranged at a trailing end of the mounting element so as to close a hole and having an opening for mounting a feeding device, feeding the binding material into the hole. The retaining members have throughgoing apertures through which the binding material flows so as to reliably fill the hole. The retaining members are preferably wedge-shaped. The feeding device may be inserted not only in the opening of the flange but also directly in the inner bore of the mounting element. An additional sheath may be provided for preventing escape of the binding material through a gap between the masonry and an additional structure to be mounted thereto.

    • An anchoring member is inserted into an anchoring hole in a support structure and has transverse dimensions smaller than those of the anchoring hole, and is supported with clearance in such anchoring hole by means of a cap member of ring-shaped configuration which surrounds the anchoring member at the trailing end thereof and closes the open end of the clearance. The anchoring member is of a tubular configuration and is closed at its leading end, an aperture communicating the interior of the anchoring member with the clearance. A body of hardenable material is introduced into the clearance through the aperture and by means of a shielding arrangement accommodated in the interior of the tubular anchoring member and communicating with the aperture. At least a portion of the ring-shaped cap member is at least translucent so that the introduction of the hardenable material into the clearance can be monitored therethrough. A depression, preferably an annular groove, is visible through the translucent portion and has such dimensions that, due to its viscosity, the hardenable material will not be able to penetrate into the depression until after the pressure in the clearance has exceeded a value indicative of the completion of the clearance-filling process. A small-sized opening communicates the clearance with the exterior of the cap member and allows air to escape from the clearance during the clearance-filling operation, while preventing the hardenable material from escaping therethrough until the pressure of the hardenable material has reached a predetermined level.
