    • A method for image regulation of a color monitor in proof-viewing and an apparatus therefor which is characterized in that the image on the color monitor is caused to closely resemble the printed picture, and said method comprises the steps of: scanning separation films of primary colors to obtain primary color picture signals; obtaining secondary color picture signals from the NAM (Non-Additively Mixing) portions which are derived by detecting the maximum value of two of said primary color picture signals respectively; while obtaining a tertiary color picture signal from the NAM portion of said primary color picture signals; regulating said secondary and tertiary color picture signals by multiplying regulation factors; correcting the gradation of said primary color picture signals by said regulated secondary and tertiary color picture signals; and producing an image on a color monitor screen with said corrected primary color picture signals.

    • A color image reproduction system wherein there are recorded at different angular orientations on a deformation imaging member at least two images corresponding respectively to the color content of at least two different colors of an original multicolor image. Readout illumination provided by an extended light source is converted to a plurality of point sources and deflected to the imaged member by a member comprising a transparent substrate carrying a plurality of mirrored areas. The information- modulated illumination is then reflected to provide a reproduction of the original image at an output image plane.

    • There is disclosed a method and apparatus for improving the production of colored designs as described in application Ser. No. 399,367. In the apparatus disclosed in that application, mutually exclusive areas or zones of the replica of a pattern are encoded differently so that light projected through each zone can be processed separately from light projected through the other areas. In this manner, each zone in a projected pattern may be given an arbitrary hue and intensity. In order to facilitate the association of the actual colors in a projected design with the individual color-controlling channels, in accordance with the present invention a separate ''''color block'''' is provided as part of each zone. The color blocks are not parts of the pattern of interest but because the color blocks have a fixed association with the color-controlling channels, the color controlled by each channel can be determined visually.

    • A color micro optic apparatus which employs black and white photographic film in taking and yet produces color images upon readout. Distributed sets of contiguous color filters, each set having (for example) red, green, and blue filters, are sequentially aligned with corresponding sets of lensettes of microfiche. In use as a camera, red light activates only those emulsion portions of the microfiche which are beneath the red filters, similar discrimination occurring with the blue and green filters. After the emulsion is developed only those emulsion areas beneath filters which have passed light are transparent. For readout, the developed emulsion and filters receive white light (in the opposite direction) to reconstruct a color image.
