    • A bracket system used in suspending a window cover frame comprises first and second bracket members. The first bracket member has a main body portion made from a rigid high strength material for mounting to a support surface for the bracket system and for holding the second bracket member. The first bracket member has a connector to releasably secure the first and second bracket members to one another. The connector is pressed from the material of the main body portion of the first bracket member in the form of a pair of wings. Each wing comprises a base part which remains attached to the first bracket member and an outer part spaced by a gap from and being generally parallel with the main body portion. The outer parts of the wings face away from another. The connector has a length which spans both of the outer parts of the wings and a width which is less than the length of the connector. The second bracket member has an opening with a length greater and a width less than the length of the connector. The width of the opening is at least slightly greater than the width of the connector. The connector is fittable through the opening on the second bracket member to an insertion position when the connector and the opening are aligned length to length with another and the second bracket member is twistable to a locking position where it fits into each gap and is locked between each of the outer parts of the connector and the main body portion of the first bracket member.

    • Two separate tubular elbows are each mountable on upright inward upright surfaces below an arch of an arched door or arched window, with a free open-end of each tubular elbow directed upwardly toward the arch. One end of a plastic tube of polyvinyl chloride is detachably mounted rigidly within the open-end of of one of the tubular elbows, and an opposite end of the plastic tube is detachably mounted rigidly within the open-end of the other remaining one of the two separate tubular elbows. Between the spaced-apart mounted ends of the plastic tube, an intermediate portion thereof is bent into a bow-shape corresponding the approximate shape of a lower surface of the upwardly located arched door frame or window frame. Mounted thereabove on the upwardly located lower surface of the arched door frame is a downwardly extending rod support member having downwardly-extending opposite and spaced-apart opposing flexible clasp arms biased toward one-another sufficiently to snap and retain therebetween the intermediate portion of the plastic tube after the drape has been mounted and suspended from the plastic tube.

A depending loop is integrally formed at the rear portion of each arm to securely allow the arm to rest on a curtain rod without tipping and a spring clip is located on the arm rear top face for engaging a festoon. An angularly adjustable ornament is separably mounted on the front of each arm.     • A support bracket is provided for a curtain rod on at least one end of which rod is a flat-headed stud adapted for supporting the rod. The bracket employs a base appropriately secured to a wall or window frame. A support web is mounted on the base extending outwardly therefrom and a U-shaped receptacle element for the flat-headed stud is mounted on the web. The receptacle is formed by bending and stamping operations employing metal adjacent to the upper margin of the web to provide first a horizontal bridge element, a bracket face element bent downwardly parallel to the web, and a stop element bent toward the web at the bottom of the face element. The receptacle is adapted to receive and resiliently retain the flat-headed stud of the rod, but at the same time it is proof against accidentally being bent away from the web by normal forces applied to the rod. The blank from which the bracket is stamped provides an economical use of metal. Also the structure lends itself entirely to bending operations and is made from a single piece of metal with all elements integrally connected. In addition, no projections on the bracket can lock into any gaps or slots of like brackets so that during collection, processing, or distribution groups of the brackets are proof against accidental interlocking.

    • An assemblage is provided whereby window shade and/or curtain mounting means are quickly and easily positioned with respect to any window or like opening by special plates or brackets and associated compressive anchoring means which permit mounting of the plates or brackets without the need for any nails, screws or other fastening means which penetrate the frame surrounding said opening. The brackets can include window shade mounting means within the framework of a window, as well as outwardly offset and upwardly extending means for mounting curtains or drapes laterally beyond a window frame or like opening. The plates or brackets are supported within a window frame or similar opening by means of telescopic rails and a compression unit mounted on the smaller of said telescopic rails having means for providing a macro adjustment longitudinally of said rail in adapting the assemblage to a particular size window frame or opening and a micro adjustment, whereby firm compressive force is applied to the end of the larger or outer telescopic rail. Firm positioning of the assemblage is facilitated by providing a layer of rubber or other resilient material along portions of the plates or brackets compressively engaging the window frame.
