Embodiments of the sheer hosiery (200) include a sheer leg portion (260) and a foot portion (210) that is affixed to the sheer leg portion (260) and at least partially made of a comfort fabric. The foot portion (210) contacts one or more portions of a wearer's foot, such as, for example, a ball portion and a toe portion, and is hidden from view when the wearer's foot is inserted in footwear. The foot portion (210) may be somewhat thicker than the sheer leg portion (260) but is not so thick as to interfere with the fit of the footwear.

摘要： An improved sock wherein moisture distribution, wicking, evaporation and other phases of control are all managed by the sock construction. The moisture management sock has a toe portion knit of predominantly of hydrophilic yarn; a heel portion knit of predominantly of hydrophilic yarn; and alternating rings of hydrophobic and hydrophilic yarn located between said toe portion and said heel portion. Moisture absorbed from the wearer's foot by the hydrophilic yarn is transferred by wicking action into the hydrophobic rings and then to the leg portion to be evaporated therefrom.

摘要： A padded sock made from blanks of spun polyester fleece material and having flatlock seams is lightweight and quick-drying and provides improved warmth, comfort and a contour fit without causing blisters or the like. In one embodiment, the sock is made from a first single-piece generally rectangular blank or pattern of fleece material and has peripheral marginal edges selectively secured in juxtaposed relation by a flatlock seam to define a foot receiving portion and a leg encompassing portion. Additional shorter length blanks of the fleece material have laterally opposite marginal edges secured in juxtaposed relation to the marginal edges of the first blank by the flatlock seams so as to provide padded toe and heel regions and at least one shin pad area, thereby substantially improving comfort when the sock is worn with many types of outdoor footwear.

Applications may include, but are not limited to, use for increasing the comfort of a wearer by keeping the wearer's feet dry and securely positioned within a shoe, use in eliminating the common and irritating problem of conventional foot pads bunching and wrinkling inside a pair of shoes, as well as eliminating the common problem of the foot portion of pantyhose slipping inside a pair of shoes.
