摘要： A network device includes processing circuitry and a plurality of ports. The ports connect to a communication network. The processing circuitry is configured to receive, via an input port, data packets and probe packets that are addressed to a common output port, to store the data packets in a first queue and the probe packets in a second queue, both the first queue and the second queue are served by the output port, to produce telemetry data indicative of a state of the network device, based on a processing path that the data packets traverse within the network device, to schedule transmission of the data packets from the first queue at a first priority, and schedule transmission of the probe packets from the second queue at a second priority higher than the first priority, and to modify the scheduled probe packets so as to carry the telemetry data.

And these systems, methods, and apparatuses compare the transmitting latency timer e with a transmitting latency threshold as these systems, methods, and apparatuses are processing a packet for transmission. These systems, methods, and apparatuses can drop the packet and/or can select another packet for processing in response to the transmitting latency timer exceeding the transmitting latency threshold to mitigate the transmitting latency.

摘要： Disclosed herein, among other things, are methods and apparatus for providing a time-stamp based controller for synchronization of sink or source sampling rate with external packet rate. A method for wireless communications includes receiving a transmission of a packet using a wireless transceiver of an electronic device, and using a processor of the electronic device to read a first value of a system timer and store the first value as an arrival time-stamp. The packet is decoded and processed by the processor, and sent to an output. When the processed packet is sent, a second value of the system timer is read, adjusted and stored as a departure time-stamp. The arrival time-stamp and the departure time-stamp are used to calculate an adjustment stimulus for a sample rate actuator of the electronic device. The sample rate actuator is configured to maintain synchronization of sampling rate with an external packet rate.

摘要： Described is a method for estimating throughput between first and second communication devices, the method comprising: determining maximum bottleneck throughput of a communication link between the first communication device and a third communication device, wherein the communication link between the first and third communication devices applies a common access network as between a communication link between the first and second communication devices; determining Round Trip Time (RTT) between the first and second communication devices; transmitting packet by applying User Datagram Protocol (UDP) from the third communication device to the first communication device; measuring packet loss rate associated with the transmitted packet by monitoring sequence number of the packet; and translating measured packet loss rate to Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) throughput according to maximum bottleneck throughput and RTT.

A transmit end obtains a first acknowledgment message including a network congestion scenario identifier. The network congestion scenario identifier is an identifier indicating a scenario in which network congestion occurs in a process in which the transmit end transmits data to a receive end, and the transmit end and the receive end are any two hosts in the plurality of hosts. Then, the transmit end adjusts a data sending rate of the transmit end based on the network congestion scenario identifier.

摘要： An improved autonegotiation approach includes determining that a negotiated rate between a first network device and a second network device exceeds data transfer capacity over a network path downstream of the second network device. In response, a configuration message is generated and transmitted to the first network device. When received by the first network device, the configuration message causes the first network device to limit data transfer between the first network device and the second network device to no more than the downstream data transfer capacity.
