摘要： An apparatus and method for setting a modulation frequency within a non-use frequency range so as to reduce ElectroMagnetic Interference (EMI) occurring during frequency modulation in a portable terminal are provided. The apparatus includes a controller and a frequency set unit. At frequency modulation, the controller determines whether a modulation frequency corresponds to a frequency inducing EMI. In a case where it is determined that the modulation frequency corresponds to the frequency inducing EMI, the frequency set unit resets the modulation frequency.

摘要： Electronic devices contain radio-frequency receivers such as direct conversion receivers. A receiver may receive radio-frequency antenna signals from an antenna in an electronic device. The receiver may include notch filters that attenuate signals in the center of the communications channel that is being received by the receiver. An electronic device may include a clock source. The clock source may be used to clock electrical components in the electronic device. During operation, the clock source may produce radio-frequency interference signals at an associated interferer frequency. The potential for the interference signals to disrupt operation of the receiver can be reduced by configuring the electronic device so that the interferer frequency is aligned with the center of the communications channel. The clock source may be adjusted dynamically to accommodate changes in the communications channel.

摘要： A direct conversion receiver for providing a direct conversion of a radio frequency signal having a carrier frequency comprises a local oscillator for substantially equal frequency to the carrier, and a semiconductor integrated circuit mounting mixers and amplifiers for amplifying inputs to the mixer. The amplifiers amplify the local oscillation signals and/or radio frequency signal inputted from the outside of the semiconductor integrated circuit and supply the amplified signals to the mixers. The mixers mix these inputted signals and output the mixed signals to the outside of the semiconductor integrated circuit. By thus forming the receiver, radiation of the local oscillation signals to outside of the receiver and leakage inside thereof can be suppressed.
