    • Apparatus for selectively permitting access to the interior of a boiler and selectively closing off access to the interior of the boiler which includes a frame, a support plate, and a hinge. The hinge couples the support plate and the frame and allows pivotal movement of the support plate with respect to the frame. The apparatus also includes a door plate; and apparatus for coupling the support plate to the door plate. In some forms of the invention the apparatus for coupling comprises a plurality of studs fixed to one of the plates in generally parallel spaced relationship. The other of the plates may include a plurality of holes disposed in generally registered relationship to the studs and dimensioned for loose fitting engagement with the studs. The apparatus may also include apparatus for latching the support plate to the frame to prevent pivotal movement thereof with respect to the frame. The apparatus may also include apparatus for urging the door plate away from the support plate toward the frame.

    • A boiler has an exterior housing, and a water-cooled fire chamber within the exterior housing having a rear face wall and a front face wall. A door is provided on an end of the exterior housing, and forms the front face wall of the fire chamber. The door is cooled by water circulating therein and has an opening therethrough for a burner producing a flame. The boiler includes an insert having an opening therethrough. The insert surrounds the door opening and is secured to an inside of the door to project into the fire chamber so that the insert opening is essentially aligned with the door opening. The insert is cooled by the water circulating through the door and reduces a cross-sectional area of the fire chamber available for the flame over a portion of the length of the fire chamber. Also provided is a water-cooled partition located in a rear portion of the fire chamber in front of the rear face wall for dividing the flame.

    • A liquid-cooled boiler door for use with a boiler having a flooded liquid section and a storage liquid section. The liquid-cooled boiler door includes an interior wall having an interior surface and an exterior surface and an exterior wall having an interior surface and an exterior surface. The exterior wall is spaced from said interior wall to define a circulation space therebetween. A first connector fluidly connects the flooded liquid section of the boiler to the circulation space defined between the interior wall and the exterior wall of the liquid-cooled boiler door. A second connector fluidly connects the storage liquid section of the boiler to the circulation space defined between the interior wall and the exterior wall. Liquid contained within the boiler circulates from the flooded liquid section, through the circulation space defined between the interior wall and the exterior wall, and into the storage section of the boiler.

A pure steam output is also provided, with a separation space being located in a lower portion of the pure steam generator, along with a centrifugal separator through which the pure steam flows from the separation space to the pure steam output.The pure steam output communicates through a circulation line with the pure steam generator for circulating pure steam from the pure steam output to the pure steam generator. The circulation line is preferably arranged to feed a mixing space, in which the feed water and the circulating pure steam are mixed.
