    • An admission system, particularly for containers, with a raiseable platform. The system includes towers of carryable profiles with at least one longitudinal recess adapted for interference by at least one steering element. Each profile has an end portion adapted for interference with other carryable profiles. The profiles have the same cross-section and can be joined. Interlocking elements are placed between the profiles for joining. A toothed rack extends along the longitudinal direction of the profiles. A guiding element for connection with a working platform is connected to the at least one steering element and includes a pinion meshing with the toothed rack and a transmission for driving the pinion. Support elements are provided for attaching the profiles to a structure or other profiles. The invention also includes a method for assembly of such a system, a profile, a guiding element and support elements for such a system.

    • An improved scaffolding securement system is provided which is adjustable and reusable. By securing a first threaded bar to a building and a second threaded bar to a scaffold, a turnbuckle provided therebetween allows for incremental adjustment of the distance between the scaffold and the building as desired. Additionally, as the profile of the portion of the scaffolding securement system connected to the structure is slightly smaller than a standard brick, only one brick need be left out of the structure and subsequently placed when the scaffolding securement system is removed. By utilizing a collar around the scaffold, the scaffolding securement system allows for incremental lateral adjustments of the scaffolding securement system relative to the scaffold, with a set screw locking the scaffolding securement system relative to the scaffold when the desired orientation has been achieved.

    • A scaffolding system and method of moving a scaffolding assembly of said system, the system including a scaffold assembly including a plurality of elongate members said members including support portions, a plurality of brackets for mounting directly or indirectly to a structure, said brackets including retaining means for releasably retaining said members in a lengthwise upright orientation when mounted to a structure, and supporting means for supporting at least part of the weight of said members, and guides for guiding the members during repositioning of the assembly on the structure. The guides guide the members during raising and/or lowering of the assembly, and the supporting means being arranged to allow passage of said support portions during raising of the assembly but prevent passage of said support portions during lowering of the assembly to thereby support said assembly. The system provides a scaffolding assembly that alleviates problems known in the art by providing a system that is more readily movable despite poor weather conditions and which is simpler and more efficient.

    • A clamp assembly for interengaging a wall with a stanchion of a scaffold assembly. The clamp assembly includes a pair of jaws pivotally secured to each other for clamping the stanchion of the scaffold assembly. Each of the jaws has an opening. A rod is provided for engaging the wall to secure and couple the scaffold assembly to the wall. The clamp assembly further includes a bolt with an eyelet wherethrough the rod passes. The bolt passes through each of the openings of the two jaws of the clamp assembly. The rod, while being engaged in the eyelet of the bolt, is stationarily affixed against one of the jaws simultaneously with securedly engaging and clamping the two jaw members around the stanchion. A method for stabilizing a scaffold assembly next to a wall.

    • This invention provides a roof support upon which a firefighter or other user can stand. The support fits tightly against a sloped roof, thus the support is wedge shaped. At the upper portion of the support is a standing surface upon which the user will be supported. The roof support is locked into place on a sloped roof by inserting a T-bar attached to a chain into a hole in the roof. Once the T-bar is inserted, it is pulled up against the inner surface of the roof and locked into place by attaching a plug on the opposite end of the chain to a locking device on the roof support.

    • A suction chamber is provided in the rear portion of a pad body remote from an external pad supporting surface. The fore end portion of the pad body facing the pad supporting surface is divided into a plurality of sucking compartments for communication with the suction chamber. An air flow passage is provided for communication with the suction chamber. Valve mechanisms are provided in air flow paths between the respective sucking compartments and the suction chamber and are closable by a sucked air flow occurring during vacuum suction. Further, an automatic switching valve is provided in a part of the air flow passage in such a manner that the switching valve is caused to open in response to abutment against the pad supporting surface of the pad body. The air flow passage is formed in such a manner that a direction of force acting to cause the automatic switching valve to open differs from a direction of counteractive force against a spring structure that normally urges the switching valve to close.
