    • A lid and closure member assembly for placement on a container is provided. The lid includes a cover portion, an access port and an elongated channel defined in the cover portion. The channel may include two opposing side walls, two opposing end walls and a bottom. The channel's side walls can each include an inwardly-projecting lip forming an undercut for slidably receiving a portion of the closure member. The closure member includes an access port cap, a retainer slidably received within the channel and a strap extending between the access port cap and the retainer. The closure member is selectively movable between open and closed positions. The access port cap may cover the access port when the retainer is in a first position within the channel or may be at least partially received within the channel when the retainer is in a second position within the channel.

    • A biodegradable and compostable container for fluids achieves an environmentally friendly look and feel by minimizing the amount of bioplastic component parts that are visible and by maximizing the visibility of component parts made of water-permeable, biodegradable, and compostable material(s). The container includes one or more bioplastic junction pieces that are shaped and positioned to line and seal seams between container wall(s) and a base of the container, container wall(s) and a top of the container, or both. Thus, the one or more bioplastic junction pieces provide water-impermeable barriers at seams in the container where leakage is most likely to occur. The interior of the walls and the cover of the container are coated in one or more biodegradable, water-impermeable materials to ensure that fluid contained in the interior volume is not permitted to pass therethrough, while the resulting container as a whole remains compostable.

    • A closure for a container having a circular opening defining an axis, the closure being securable to the container so as to close said opening, the closure having an o-ring sealing member mounted thereon so as to provide a seal with a sealing surface of the container, when the closure is secured to the container, the sealing surface extending around an upper surface or an internal surface of the container. The closure may comprise a bore feature which, in use, extends through the opening into the interior of the container and the o-ring seal may be provided on the bore feature. Various forms of closure are described, e.g. for closing a bottle neck and a wide-mouth closure.     • A bottle cap device for a container includes a bottle cap, a subpackage vessel, a guiding structure, and a linkage structure. A retainer groove and a retainer member form a clutch structure, wherein the retainer groove and the retainer member are mated with each other and are disposed between said bottle cap and an outside surface of a top periphery of the subpackage vessel. A circular slotting tool is disposed within a containing cavity, wherein said circular slotting tool has a center hole and a cutting edge protruded on the bottom thereof. The guiding structure is disposed between said slotting tool and said subpackage vessel, wherein when the slotting tool is turned anticlockwise, the guiding structure limits the slotting tool to move downwards. The linkage structure includes a neck-shrinking helical block protruded downwardly from the bottom surface of the cover, and has a helical groove provided in a sidewall of a center hole of the slotting tool for mating with the helical block, wherein when the bottle cap is turned anticlockwise, the helical block pushes said helical groove to force the slotting tool to move under limitation of the guiding structure, and thus a cutting edge of the slotting tool opens a bottom separator of the subpackage vessel.
