摘要： A container for dispensing a cosmetic product includes a first container member and a second container member shaped and dimensioned for coupling together so as to define a cavity therebetween for storing a cosmetic product. The first container member includes an exterior surface and an interior surface. The first container member further includes an apex having an aperture formed therein and an open end opposite the apex, the open end defining a circumferential free edge that is opposite the aperture. A plurality of ribs radially extend from the interior surface of the first container member toward a central axis running through a center of the aperture such that the plurality of ribs define an elongated passageway extending on the central axis. Each of the plurality of ribs includes an edge attached to the interior surface, a free edge and a supporting edge shaped and dimensioned for supporting cosmetic product above the supporting edge after cosmetic product is gravity fed through the passageway. A plug covers the aperture after the cosmetic product has been fed into the cavity.

A cap or closure member is disposed over an upper open end of a powder dispensing chamber and when opened, causes a closure of the valve mechanism. When the cover is returned to its closed position, the valve will automatically open allowing for new charge of powder form the storage chamber to enter into the dispensing chamber. The closure member is provided with an actuator that extends through the powder dispensing chamber and engages and causes operation of the valve mechanism.

The mat includes a first side section and a second side section connected by a center section. The first side section and the second side section are able to open about the center section so that the mat lies substantially flat. This allows for collection of make-up residue that falls on top surface of the mat. The first side section and the second side section are also able to fold about the center section into a U-shape (or V-shaped) so that the make-up residue resting on the top surfaces of the first side section and the second side section falls toward the center section. When the make-up residue falls into the center section, the make-up residue may be poured from the center section, such as into a container.
