    • A locking mechanism is provided that has an unlocked position and a locked position. The locking mechanism comprises the following. A first handle. A first rose attached to the first handle with the first handle adapted for rotational movement relative to the first rose. A first longitudinal slot in the first rose. A locking cartridge cylinder at least partially contained within at least the first handle or the first rose. A locking tab operably connected to the locking cartridge cylinder adapted for movement: at least partially into at least the second slot in the first rose in a locked position; and completely out of the first longitudinal slot in the first rose in an unlocked position.

    • A latch assembly for releasably securing a first member in a closed position relative to a second member is disclosed. The latch assembly includes a frames a rotary pawl, a locking member, a handle, and a lock plug. The frame is adapted for attachment to the first member. The handle is pivotally attached to the frame and is movable between a closed position and an open position. The locking member retains the pawl in the latched position when the locking member is in an undeflected configuration. The handle causes the locking member to deflect and release the pawl from a latched position when the lacking member is in an unlocked position and the handle is moved to the open position. The lock barrel is supported by the frame and can selectively move the locking member to a locked position where the locking member cannot be actuated by the handle.

    • A door lock able to be prevented from being locked by an unexpected exterior force includes a main body, a fixing member and a handle. The main body is provided with a sleeve at the center extended outwards from two sides. One end of the sleeve is matched with a lining tube that is linked with a button. Via rotating the button for an angle, projections of a stopper attached with one end of the button is to be guided into a blocking groove of the lining tube, enabling the button to be locked in the blocking groove so that the button can not be pressed down, able to prevent the button from being locked by an unexpected exterior force.

    • A lock for a door (10) comprising a casing (11), a bolt (55) operable to extend from or retract into the casing and manually operable bolt retention means to retain the bolt in its retracted state even when an automatically operating bolt holding member (74) is released by inwards movement of a bolt release member (69). The bolt retention means comprises a snib (106) having a part receivable in an opening (103) in the bolt (55) when the bolt is manually moved into the case from its normally retracted position. Once the snib part is in the opening and the inwards force on the bolt removed, the spring acting on the bolt moves the bolt to its normally retracted position, where it is then retained by the snib. To release the retention, the bolt is again moved further into the case, whereupon the snib part is moved clear of the bolt opening under spring bias, and the unretained bolt is moved by its bias to its normally retracted position.
