摘要： A wireless end-user device can communicate data using a home network or a roaming network. The device stores a network service usage activity classification list that indicates which of a plurality of background data traffic policies to apply respectively to each of a plurality of applications resident on the device. A processor on the device determines which type of network the device currently connects through, and whether a particular application is currently operating as a background application. According to the applicable policy, a given application operating in the background may be allowed to perform network service usage activities on both network types, on only one of the network types, or on neither of the network types.

The method includes determining whether a measurement of a current relay UE is smaller than a threshold and selecting a candidate relay UE satisfying a specific condition as a relay UE when the measurement of the current relay UE is smaller than the threshold. Here, the candidate relay UE is selected as a relay UE only when a measurement of the candidate relay UE is greater than a minimum hysteresis value (minHyst) based on the threshold.

The connector node may be in communication with the plurality of low power cells. The connector node may be configured to receive demands from each of the plurality of low power cells. The connector node may be further configured to determine a rate for each of the plurality of low power cells based on the demands of each of the low power cells and the assigned rate of the other of the plurality of low power cells. The connector node may be further configured to allocate capacity based on the determined rates.

Possible near-future data packets can be transmitted or received on the non-cellular interfaces that co-exist on the mobile devices and thus the inactivity timer of the cellular interface may be dynamically and more efficiently adjusted, based on the on/off status of non-cellular interface(s). If the non-cellular interface is available on the mobile device, then the inactivity timer can be set to be shorter than if only the cellular interface is available.

The method includes that: state values CLK1_EN/CLK2_EN of PWRCTRL1/PWRCTRL2 are controlled and output by using a sleep mode and a wake up mode of a Digital Baseband (DBB) of the multimode terminal; outputs CLK1_OUT/CLK2_OUT of a radio frequency transceiver (RF TRX) are controlled by using CLK1/CLK2 and the CLK1_EN/CLK2_EN; and the CLK1_OUT/CLK2_OUT are sent to a System On chip (SOC)/BUS/Peripheral and a MODEM of the DBB, wherein the CLK1_OUT/CLK2_OUT serve as a high-speed clock source of the multimode terminal in a standby state and a working state. By the solution, the multimode terminal is enabled to shorten wake up time of the MODEM subsystem and prolong sleep time within a Discontinuous Reception (DRX) period, and the effect of reducing standby power consumption is further achieved.
