摘要： An image capture unit and computer readable medium used in combination therewith includes an image capturing sensor, a visual display, an instance of the computer readable medium, and circuitry for integrating functionalities thereof. The computer readable medium causes sensor data received from the image capturing sensor to be processed. The sensor data includes a plurality of image tiles and position indicating data defining a respective relative position of each one of each image tiles. Each one of each image tiles includes data representing a discrete portion of visual content. The computer readable medium causes a feedback image be displayed on the visual display. Displaying the feedback image includes correlate the relative position of each one of each image tiles with at least one other image tile that has been previously generated and displayed.

摘要： A process is provided for graphically guiding a user of a capture device (e.g., smartphone) to more accurately capture a series of images of a building. Images are captured as the picture taker moves around the building—taking a plurality (e.g., 4-16) of images from multiple angles and distances. Before capturing an image, a quality of the image may be determined to prevent low quality images from being captured or to provide instructions on how to improve the quality of the image capture. The series of captured images are uploaded to an image processing system to generate a 3D building model that is returned to the user. The returned 3D building model may incorporate scaled measurements of building architectural elements and may include a dataset of measurements for one or more architectural elements such as siding (e.g., aluminum, vinyl, wood, brick and/or paint), windows, doors or roofing.

The scanning unit of the scanning apparatus is combined with a user scanning unit and a user printing unit into a combination apparatus, and the scanned result is printed in a printing apparatus spaced-apart from the scanning apparatus by a distance, thereby removing cables between the scanning or printing apparatus and a personal computer. Regardless of an attachment state of the external storage unit, the document is scanned in the real time, and the scanning apparatus is commonly used with a plurality of personal computers which are not connected to the scanning apparatus.
