    • A swing-type cover opening and closing device for a mobile phone according to an exemplary embodiment of the invention includes: i) a main body case that is disposed in a main body of the mobile phone and has a through-hole formed at one side thereof; ii) a cover case that is disposed in a cover of the mobile phone, has a hollow shaft penetrating the through-hole integrally projecting thereon, and is pivotably mounted on the main body case; and iii) an elastic unit of which both ends are pivotably joined to the main body case and the cover case, respectively, to provide elastic force to the cover case by rotation of the cover case, wherein the elastic unit includes a housing that is pivotably connected to the main body case through a first hinge pin, a slide member that is joined to the inside of the housing to be slidable and lockable, and is connected to the cover case through a second hinge pin, and a plurality of spring members that are installed in the housing and apply elastic force to the slide member.

    • It is an object to provide a digital TV broadcast system and a cellular phone in which content of a data broadcast can be checked with a small display area, and work for checking desired content in detail is easy. Extracted character strings extracted from content data are provided in a picto display area 21 in a horizontally long display state as a marquee display. In the case where a display screen is switched to a vertically long display state during the display of the extracted character strings, a cursor 26 is placed on a character string corresponding to an extracted character string displayed in the horizontally long display state upon the switching, among character strings displayed in a data broadcast display area 25. Based on this, a user can well check the content of the data broadcast by checking the extracted character strings provided as the marquee display, and also because the character string corresponding to the extracted character string displayed in the horizontally long display state is automatically selected by the switching to the vertically long display state, the work for checking desired content in detail is easy.

    • In a cellular phone a rotational position sensing part senses that a display casing has been rotated from a horizontally long state to a vertically long state, and a drive voltage is supplied to a TV broadcast receiving part by a drive voltage supplying part, and an incoming call processing part performs incoming call processing, such that a response part establishes a telephone conversion state in response to the incoming call, and a drive voltage control part stops the supply of the drive voltage by the drive voltage supplying part. When a call is made from an opposite side telephone set while a TV broadcast is watched, the call can be responded to only by rotating the display casing, and the supply of the drive voltage to the TV broadcast receiving part can be automatically stopped, so that power consumption can be efficiently reduced while reducing the burden of operations.

    • A mobile station includes an adjustable member for increasing a separation distance between an audio signal output device and an electronic circuit to reduce EMI proximate the audio signal output device caused by the electronic circuit. In one embodiment, the adjustable member comprises a slide member that extends at least a portion of the audio signal output device away from the electronic circuit to increase the separation distance. In another embodiment, the adjustable member comprises a pivot member that rotates the electronic circuit (or audio signal output device) away from the audio signal output device (or electronic circuit) to increase the separation distance. In any event, increasing the separation distance between the audio signal output device and the electronic circuit decreases the EMI proximate the audio signal output device, and therefore EMI effects on external circuits proximate the mobile station, such as a hearing aid.
