摘要： Securely transporting data across a unidirectional data diode interconnecting a process plant to a remote system includes provisioning, using join key material, a sending device at the plant end of the diode with a receiving device at the remote end. The join key material is used to securely share network key material that is used to encrypt/decrypt messages or packets that are transported across the diode and whose payload includes plant—updated or re-set generated data. The shared network key material is recurrently using the join key material, and the recurrence interval may be based on a tolerance for lost data or other characteristic of an application, service, or consumer of plant data at the remote system.

摘要： In an approach, a target computing device receives a pairing request from a controller computing device, the pairing request including controller credentials that were previously received by the controller computing device from an authentication server computer and encrypted under a service key. The target computing device forwards the pairing request to the authentication server, the authentication server computer being configured to return a pairing response based at least in part on the controller credentials. The target computing device receives the pairing which includes a shared secret encrypted under a target device key and the same shared secret encrypted under a controller key. The target computing device decrypts the shared secret encrypted under the target device key and forwards the shared secret encrypted under the controller key to the controller device. Using the decrypted shared secret, the target computing device establishes a secure connection to the controller computing device.

摘要： A data transfer process can include multiple verification features usable by a “source” device to ensure that a “destination” device is authorized to receive a requested data object. The source device and destination device can communicate via a first communication channel (which can be on a wide-area network) to exchange public keys, then use the public keys to verify their identities and establish a secure session on a second communication channel (which can be a local channel). The data object can be transferred via the secure session. Prior to sending the data object, the source device can perform secondary verification operations (in addition to the key exchange) to confirm the identity of the second device and/or the locality of the connection on the second communication channel.

摘要： A trust relationship can be established between two or more identities without the need of a certificate authority. Trust relationships between identities can be maintained in a distributed ring of trust between two or more identities. The distributed ring of trust can be on a signed identity list. A node desiring to add an identity to the ring of trust sends a request to a member of the ring of trust. The receiving member can determine whether or not to approve the request. In some aspects, approval can be based on a previously shared key or a two-party verification. Upon approval, the requested identity is added to a trusted identity list indicating identities associated with current members of the ring of trust. The updated trusted identity list can then be distributed to the members of the ring of trust.

Embodiments provide a key publisher that generates and maintains key pairs in a list at a configurable interval. In addition, the key publisher publishes the list to other components within the computing infrastructure. Embodiments also provide a key consumer that downloads the list of encrypted key pairs and maintains an active window of keys to can be accepted from client devices that communicate sensitive data to the computing infrastructure. If the key consumer receives a key from a client device that is outside of the active window yet that corresponds to a future key pair in the list, the key consumer advances the active window towards the future key pair.
