摘要： An example method for performing playout of multiple media recordings includes receiving a plurality of media recordings, indexing the plurality of media recordings for storage into a database, dividing each of the plurality of media recordings into multiple segments, and for each segment of each media recording, (i) comparing the segment with the indexed plurality of media recordings stored in the database to determine one or more matches to the segment, and (ii) determining a relative time offset of the segment within each matched media recording. Following, the method includes performing playout of a representation of the plurality of media recordings based on the relative time offset of each matched segment.

摘要： A computer-implemented method for selecting representative frames for videos is provided. The method includes receiving a video and identifying a set of features for each of the frames of the video. The features including frame-based features and semantic features. The semantic features identifying likelihoods of semantic concepts being present as content in the frames of the video. A set of video segments for the video is subsequently generated. Each video segment includes a chronological subset of frames from the video and each frame is associated with at least one of the semantic features. The method generates a score for each frame of the subset of frames for each video segment based at least on the semantic features, and selecting a representative frame for each video segment based on the scores of the frames in the video segment. The representative frame represents and summarizes the video segment.

摘要： A process adapts user-initiated search queries. The process executes at a client device with a microphone. The process downloads audio fingerprints from a remote server for a plurality of video programs, and downloads information that correlates the audio fingerprint to the video programs. The audio fingerprints are preselected according to relevancy criteria, including stored user preferences and prior search queries by the user. The audio fingerprints and correlating information are stored locally. The process detects ambient sound using the microphone and computes one or more sample audio fingerprints from the detected ambient sound. The process matches a sample audio fingerprint to a locally stored audio fingerprint and uses the correlating information to identify a first video program corresponding to the matched sample audio fingerprint. The process then receives user input to initiate a search query. The process provides auto-complete suggestions for the search query based on the first video program.

摘要： A method of tracking an object across a sequence of video frames using a natural language query includes receiving the natural language query and identifying an initial target in an initial frame of the sequence of video frames based on the natural language query. The method also includes adjusting the natural language query, for a subsequent frame, based on content of the subsequent frame and/or a likelihood of a semantic property of the initial target appearing in the subsequent frame. The method further includes identifying a text driven target and a visual driven target in the subsequent frame. The method still further includes combining the visual driven target with the text driven target to obtain a final target in the subsequent frame.

The summary file may be generated or otherwise provided based on one or more social media messages. The summarizer machine detects a request that the summary file be generated for a user, and the request may specify the episodes to be summarized. The machine accesses a media database that stores the episodes and also accesses a communication database that records communications among social connections of the requesting user. The communications all identify a same media scene in a same episode, and some of the communications all reference a same media frame in that media scene. The machine determines an excerpt of a media file for the episode and incorporates the excerpt into the generated summary file. The machine causes the summary file to be provided in response to the request.

Associated information includes the filename, if the recording is a computer file in, e.g., MP3 format, or table of contents (TOC) data, if the recording is on a removable medium, such as a compact disc. At least one and preferably several algorithmically determined fingerprints are extracted from the recording using one or more fingerprint extraction methods. The information extracted is compared with corresponding information in a database maintained for reference recordings. Identification starts with the most accurate and efficient method available, e.g., using a hash ID, a unique ID or text. Fingerprint matching is used to confirm other matches and validation is performed by comparing the duration of the unknown and a possibly matching reference recording.
