    • The present invention relates to dual-lens eyeglasses including an eyeglass frame and two lens units permanently installed on the eyeglass frame. Each lens unit includes two lenses arranged in optical alignment with each other. The lenses can be optical lenses or sunglass lenses. The optical lenses can be selected from known lenses such as corrective lenses, myopic corrective lenses, reading glasses lenses, progressive lenses, etc. The sunglass lenses can be selected from polarized lenses, tinted lenses, or photochromic lenses. Without the use of sub-frames, two lens units are permanently installed on eyewires of the eyeglass frames, enhancing the integration effect of the eyeglass frames. In addition, each lens is directly fixed and installed on the eyeglass frames, so that the installation is reliable and the lenses will not fall off easily. Furthermore, the lenses can be easily installed on full-rim, half-rim or rimless eyeglass frame.

    • The present invention relates to a beveling wheel and method for forming a beveled lens with the beveling wheel for use with eyeglasses. One embodiment includes a prescription lens for use on an eyeglass frame having a receiving channel. The receiving channel includes a channel bottom and opposed interior wall surfaces having a first angle therebetween. The prescription plastic lens includes a prescription lens body generally defined by a peripheral edge having a bevel extending away from the edge to a vertex. The bevel has a distal portion with a second angle. The bevel is receivable within the receiving channel. At least a portion of the vertex of the bevel has an interference fit with the receiving channel bottom when held within the eyeglass frame. The first angle is greater than the second angle.

    • The invention relates to industrial safety goggles provided with permanent ophthalmic micas having a full impact protection mica positioned thereon, wherein said impact protection mica is made from polycarbonate, provides protection against ultraviolet rays and can be removed, thereby enabling the frames to be used as ophthalmic glasses. Said goggles include a ventilation area and the ophthalmic micas have an improved visual field owing to the design of the frame to which they are mounted and fixed using angular incisions in the frame. The frame is provided with an open space at both eyes between the mica and the end of the rim, which provides ventilation and prevents the fogging of the graduated micas. The sidepieces of the goggles are designed to curve at the ends thereof, so that the goggles can be put in place without the user having to remove his/her industrial safety helmet. In addition, said sidepieces are provided with removable pad which are press-fitted and which are joined by a cord that enables the goggles to be hung around the neck when not in use. Said cord takes the form of a resistance cord that can break should the goggles be impeded by any object that could cause an accident.

Due to the absence of image change and effects through the lens impact lip, in one aspect the present invention eliminates restrictions to the size of the impact lip.
