摘要： A combination boiler provides heated water to a boiler loop and domestic hot water (DHW) to a domestic water loop. The combination boiler includes a primary heat exchanger (PHE) connected to the boiler loop and a burner to provide heat to the primary heat exchanger. A secondary heat exchanger (SHE) transfers heat energy from the boiler loop to the domestic water loop. A controller monitors a PHE inlet temperature and a DHW output temperature, obtains a pre-heat initialization temperature threshold and a pre-heat cancellation temperature threshold, and detects a low temperature condition. A pre-heat operation is initiated responsive to the low temperature condition by circulating heated water from the PHE to the SHE. The burner is selectively fired at least in part according to an outlet temperature of the PHE.

The first output is fluidly connected to the input, where the first output is adapted for control by a first control device and to receive heat from the single heating source to achieve a first temperature at the first output. The bypass path fluidly connects the input and the second output. The input is adapted to empty a first portion of the fluid supply into the first output and a second portion of the input into the bypass path. The second output is adapted to receive an output from the first output and an output from the bypass path to achieve a second temperature.

摘要： A water heater that includes a cylindrical storage tank, at least one heating element, and at least one temperature sensor is modeled using a one-dimensional model that includes: a vertical stack of disks representing the water volume in the cylindrical storage tank, and a stack of annular segments surrounding the vertical stack of disks. The stack of annular segments represents the cylindrical wall of the cylindrical storage tank. The one-dimensional model may be used by a condition-based maintenance system comprising an electronic data processing device configured to detect a failure mode present in the water heater based on an output of the water heating model component. Some illustrative failure modes include insulation disturbance, heating element failure, excessive sediment buildup, or a drip tube rupture.

摘要： The objective of the present invention is to provide a hot water-centered hot water and heating combination boiler, in which heat exchange for a hot water supply is performed in a main heat exchanger and heat exchange for a heating water supply is performed in an auxiliary heat exchanger so that the hot water supply can be accelerated, energy can be saved, and the temperature of the hot water can be controlled with ease. To achieve the abovementioned objective, the boiler of the present invention includes: a cold water inflow tube through which cold water flows in; a main heat exchanger which heats the cold water flowing in through the cold water inflow tube by using the combustion heat of a burner; a hot water discharge tube which discharges the hot water heated in the main heat exchanger; an auxiliary heat exchanger which supplies heating water during a heating mode, in which heating consumption place, and causes heat exchange to occur between the heated water in the main heat exchanger and the lowered temperature returning water, in which the heating consumption place; and a control part which controls the combustion of the burner during a hot water mode and heating mode.
