摘要： The present invention provides a concealed hinge for a removable cover and includes an integrally formed locking mechanism which prevents vertical movement of the cover when it is in the closed position. The hinge is made from two parts, one being welded to the cover and one being welded to the enclosure. One of the parts includes an integrally formed locking arm which continuously engages the other hinge part except when the cover is completely open, thus preventing any vertical movement of the cover which might defeat a cover safety interlock. The hinge is completely concealed by a flange of the cover to which it attached.

摘要： First and second hinge leaves are mounted respectively on the body and the door with one hinge leaf having a pivot pin and the other hinge having a hinge aperture adapted to engage the pivot pin to establish a door hinge pivot axis. The first and second leaves have flanges which interengage one another through the normal range of pivoting movement of the door between open and closed position so as to maintain the engagement between the hinge aperture and the pivot pin. The door is separable from the body by pivoting the door beyond the range of normal pivoting movement to disengage the bearing portions of the hinge leaves from one another and then lifting the door axially of the hinge pin axis to disengage the hinge aperture and the pivot pin. The separable door hinge also includes an offset auxiliary pivot axis provided by an alignment abutment on one of the hinge leaves axis and an alignment notch provided on the other of the hinge leaves. The alignment abutment and the alignment notch come into engagement with one another during attempted rehanging of the door and enable swinging movement of the door to carry the pivot pin and the pivot aperture in axial alignment with one another so that the door mounted hinge leaf may be lowered onto the body mounted hinge leaf.

摘要： The present invention relates to an improved ornamental integrally molded plastic fence section. The fence section generally includes a pair of substantially parallel stringers with a plurality of pickets formed integral with the stringers. Said pickets being oriented substantially perpendicular to the stringers. Each stringer has a plurality of identical spaced ears formed integral with one end. Each of the ears has a rod aperture extending therethrough. The rod apertures in the ears on one end of a stringer are aligned with rod apertures in ears on the other stringer. A slot is formed in each ear extending from the exterior of the respective ear to the respective aperture. Each slot in each ear on one end of the section is aligned with the other slots in the other ears on that end of the section. A second plurality of supports is formed integral with the other end of each of the stringers. Each of the supports has a height less than the distance between adjacent ears in the first mentioned plurality. Each of the supports has a width less than the width of the slots in the ears. A cylindrical rod is formed integral with the supports on the end of the stringer. Each rod has a diameter slightly less than the diameter of the rod aperture to fit snugly into the respective aligned rod apertures in the ears. The cylindrical rods fit into the ears and the supports pass through the slots to lock adjacent sections to each other by rotating the section relative to each other after each rod has been positioned in its respective rod apertures.

摘要： An integral hinge assembly for a plastic container having a base and a lid constructed to permit the lid to be assembled to the base by sliding it axially in position with one motion, wherein the base includes spaced aligned bosses having cylindrical bearing surfaces with one of the bosses being slotted to receive the lid during assembly. The lid has integrally formed therewith a central shank portion flanked by two oppositely directed pintles with the pintle leading during assembling having a smaller diameter than the other pintle to form a shoulder with the shank portion limiting the movement of the pintles into the bosses during assembly. There is also provided, adjacent what would be the trailing pintle during assembly, a frusto-conical portion between the pintles that cams the slotted boss open somewhat as it passes therethrough and after passing therethrough permits the slotted boss to clamp around the larger pintle with the shoulder formed by the frusto-conical portion preventing the disassembly of the lid by withdrawal in the opposite direction.
