The transportation device is capable of transporting a print medium housed in the second cassette in a case where the second cassette is positioned at the second position. The printing device prints an image on the print medium transported by the transportation device. A part of the second cassette positioned at the first position and/or the second position is positioned outside the device main body.

The feed rollers (58) push the top sheet against a rising incline, so that its leading edge is lifted up and separated from the stack. The feed head (22) is arranged on an arm (18) that is designed to swivel freely on a swiveling plane that is parallel to the plane of the incline. In the feed head (22), the feed rollers (58) can move away from the incline parallel to the plane of the stack against the spring force.

摘要： The present application is directed to methods for determining the location and movement of a media sheet within an image forming device. In one embodiment, the media sheet is positioned within an input area of the device. A pick roller is rotated to move the sheet from the input area and into a media path. An encoder roller may be positioned in contact with the sheet to detect the actual movement of the sheet from the input area. A controller may determine the expected amount of movement based on the movement of the pick roller and compare this amount with an actual amount of movement based on the movement of the encoder roller.

摘要： The invention relates to an imaging system for performing a computer-to-plate imaging process on printing plates. The system comprises a plate imaging bed for exposing radiation to a printing plate, the bed being provided with an input section for receiving a printing plate and an output section for transferring the printing plate to a chemical processing unit. The system further comprises a loading device for loading the printing plate from a multiple plate stack to the input section of the plate imaging bed. The input section is adjustable with respect to the output section to adjust the position of the input section to near the top of the multiple plate stack. The latter is accomplished in a preferred embodiment by providing the plate imaging bed with a pivot axle near the output section.
