摘要： An apparatus that can be used with a sleeve style receptacle to make an animal waste bag holder apparatus or used with a trash can receptacle to allow air captured between the bag and the inside surface of the trash can to escape. The apparatus includes a threaded bolt that extends through a side hole formed on the receptacle. The bolt's wide head is placed adjacent to the inside surface of the receptacle and the threaded shaft extends through the side hole. When a plastic bag is inserted into the receptacle, the bag's top edge is folded over the outside surface of the receptacle and placed below or adjacent to the side hole. The holder includes a wide flange nut with internal threads attached to the threaded shaft. When the flange nut is tightened on the shaft, the flange nut presses against the portion of plastic bag adjacent to the side hole. When tightened, the portion of the plastic bag is pulled which tightens the entire plastic bag around the receptacle.

The bag holding device includes an elongated handle having a first end and a second end. 摘要： A surgical sponge and comprehensive fluid monitoring system and method are provided. The system includes a support ring for securely supporting a container with at least one port opening for receiving surgical sponges placed into the container. A hollow spine structure includes a channel and a rod that can move in the channel. The rod transfers weight force from the support ring to a weight force sensing device. A flexure maintains the rod vertically aligned in the channel with a gap separating the length of the rod from the channel walls. A processor receives an information signal indicative of at least one of urine outflow, suction fluid outflow, irrigation fluid intake; and intravenous fluid intake, of a surgical patient. The processor accumulates a total amount of estimated net fluid volume loss for the patient from the surgical sponge, and from other measured fluid outflow and intake.

摘要： A waste receptacle assembly moves wholly or partially into and out of a compartment in a motor vehicle. When deployed, the waste receptacle assembly has a receptacle (e.g., bag) formed by continuous tube of bag material that has been closed off on one end. The bag material pays out from a bag supply. Trash and other waste is placed in the receptacle by passing through an aperture in the bag supply. When retracted, the waste receptacle is disposed in a compartment in the vehicle's dashboard, with the compartment advantageously closed off by a door panel so as to contain potential odors from the waste. The bag material may be treated with a suitable sanitizing compound. When full, the bag material forming the receptacle may be pulled downward, cut from the adjacent bag material section, and disposed of. The “new” receptacle may then be placed in service.
