    • An apparatus that can be used with a sleeve style receptacle to make an animal waste bag holder apparatus or used with a trash can receptacle to allow air captured between the bag and the inside surface of the trash can to escape. The apparatus includes a threaded bolt that extends through a side hole formed on the receptacle. The bolt's wide head is placed adjacent to the inside surface of the receptacle and the threaded shaft extends through the side hole. When a plastic bag is inserted into the receptacle, the bag's top edge is folded over the outside surface of the receptacle and placed below or adjacent to the side hole. The holder includes a wide flange nut with internal threads attached to the threaded shaft. When the flange nut is tightened on the shaft, the flange nut presses against the portion of plastic bag adjacent to the side hole. When tightened, the portion of the plastic bag is pulled which tightens the entire plastic bag around the receptacle.

    • A bag holding device for holding a bag in an open configuration to facilitate placement of objects therein. The bag holding device includes an elongated handle having a first end and a second end. A plurality of arms extends from the first and second ends of the handle, wherein each arm includes a fastener on an end thereof. Preferably, a pair of arms is positioned on each end of the handle, wherein the arms are arranged in a V-shaped configuration. The perimeter of the upper end of a bag can be secured to the fasteners on the arms so as to hold the bag in an open configuration. This allows the user to hold the handle of the bag holding device in one hand, while using the other hand to place items into the bag.

    • A trash receptacle including a rigid frame that includes a longitudinal member, two side members attached to form on the opposite ends of the longitudinal member. Extending laterally from the two side members are two handles. The rear frame member, the two side members and the two handles are aligned in a same horizontal plane. The two side members and handle are parallel and perpendicularly aligned with the rigid frame's longitudinal member. Attached or formed on the ends of the two side members'are edge capturing structures configured to temporarily hold the rigid frame laterally from the edge of the countertop or work table. In one embodiment, the edge capturing structures are C-shaped brackets configured to slide and extend over the top and bottom surfaces of the countertop or work table. In another embodiment, the edge capturing structures are clamps with two legs that press against the top and bottom surfaces of the countertop or work station. An optional tray that fits over the top surface of the rigid frame 20 may be provided.

    • A waste receptacle assembly moves wholly or partially into and out of a compartment in a motor vehicle. When deployed, the waste receptacle assembly has a receptacle (e.g., bag) formed by continuous tube of bag material that has been closed off on one end. The bag material pays out from a bag supply. Trash and other waste is placed in the receptacle by passing through an aperture in the bag supply. When retracted, the waste receptacle is disposed in a compartment in the vehicle's dashboard, with the compartment advantageously closed off by a door panel so as to contain potential odors from the waste. The bag material may be treated with a suitable sanitizing compound. When full, the bag material forming the receptacle may be pulled downward, cut from the adjacent bag material section, and disposed of. The “new” receptacle may then be placed in service.

    • A bag reloading garbage unit includes a base with a compartment therein for containing a plurality of separably interconnected garbage bags. The base includes a slot through which the garbage bags can be pulled into position for use. The base includes at least two articulable guide arms with guide channels therein for engaging with a garbage bag being pulled into position. When the garbage bag top arrives at the top of each articulable guide arm, the top of the garbage bag is secured in position within the unit. The guide arms operate to open and close the garbage bag. When the garbage bag is full, it is closed and removed by pulling upward and pulling with it a connected garbage bag into position in the garbage unit.
