摘要： A practice golf ball has a core and a cover. The core is made of a rubber composition which includes a base rubber, a co-crosslinking agent which is methacrylic acid, a crosslinking initiator and a metal oxide. The respective ingredients in the rubber composition are formulated in specific amounts, and the core has an optimized hardness profile. The cover includes a resin component which is composed primarily of polyurethane. The cover has a thickness of 0.3 mm to 1.9 mm, and a material hardness, expressed as the Shore D hardness, of 30 to 48. The respective deflections of the core and the ball under a specific load, and the relationship therebetween, are optimized. The volume ratio VR of dimples on the surface of the ball is optimized.

The method includes placing the core of the golf ball into a vapor barrier composition, withdrawing the lifting device, and spinning and optionally oscillating the core within the composition for a time sufficient for the composition to form a layer on the core. 摘要： The present invention provides a multi-piece solid golf ball having a core, an inner cover layer and an outer cover layer. The core is made of a material obtained by molding under applied heat a rubber composition containing (a) a base rubber containing polybutadiene having a stress relaxation time (T80) of 3.5 or less, (b) an unsaturated carboxylic acid and/or a metal salt thereof, and (c) an organic peroxide. The inner cover layer has a Shore D hardness of from 50 to 80, the outer cover layer has a Shore D hardness of from 35 to 60 which is lower than the Shore D hardness of the inner cover layer, and the outer cover layer is formed primarily of a specific, highly neutralized resin mixture. The golf ball as a whole has an excellent rebound, a good, soft feel on impact, an outstanding spin performance, and is capable of achieving an increased distance.

摘要： The invention provides a golf ball having a ball component made of a material molded under heat from a rubber composition of (a) a base rubber which includes a polybutadiene of at least 40% cis-1,4 structure, (b) an unsaturated carboxylic acid and/or a metal salt thereof, (c) an organic peroxide, and (d) a halogenated thiophenol, and/or a metal salt thereof, which is prepared by reacting starting materials in a polar solvent then washing with water and drying. The golf ball of the invention uses as a ball component a material of exceptional resilience which is obtained by molding a rubber composition under applied heat. As a result, the ball as a whole has an excellent rebound.

A difference (H4−H3) between a surface JIS-C hardness H4 of the mid layer 10 and a JIS-C hardness H3 of an innermost part of the mid layer is equal to or greater than 10.

The method permits efficient production of high-quality rubber molded material with high rebound resilience.

The volume of the inner layer of the dual layer core is at least about 70% of the total volume of the inner core layer and the outer core layer. The inner core has a diameter from about 1.25 inches up to about 1.55 inches. The outer core has a diameter from about 1.55 inches up to about 1.62 inches. The compression of the dual core is from about 60 to about 100. The outer core layer is constructed from materials that provide for a Shore C hardness of at least about 80. The dual-layer cover includes an inner layer having a Shore D hardness of at least about 60 and a thickness of about 0.015 inches to about 0.055 inches. The outer core layer has a Shore D hardness of about 62 or less and a thickness less than about 0.035 inches.
