    • A composite leather button characterized by symmetrical inward and outward laminations having confronting adhesive-coated mating faces adhesively bonded face-to-face. A readily applicable shank is provided and is preferably of a cotter-pin type and is, accordingly, provided at one end with an attaching eye accessibly located beyond the garment confronting face of the inward lamination and is adapted, to be sewed to the garment. Novel means is sandwiched between confronting faces of the laminations and functions, to prevent the laminations from accidentally coming apart and separating under ordinary circumstances and particularly when subjected to agitation, that is, while the button is being dry cleaned and during which time the adhesive media may be undesirably subjected to deleterious chemicals.

    • A multi-face part is provided on a half-finished product which eventually becomes a metal decorative button. The multi-face part includes a plurality of small sectional faces and ridges obtusely joining between two adjacent small sectional faces. An outside of the half-finished product including the multi-face part is plated. Then, the half-finished product is barrel-polished. Thereby, the plating on portions corresponding to the small sectional faces remains and the plating on portions corresponding to the ridges is removed, exposing the ground color of the half-finished product. Then, the multi-face part is partially compressed to form the metal decorative button having a compressed decorative surface. The compressed decorative surface is given a pattern composed of a plurality of small sectional parts corresponding to the small sectional faces with the plating left and boundaries corresponding to the ridges with the plating removed.

    • A button comprises a button body (10, 10a, 10b) and a prong (20, 20a, 20b) adapted to be arranged on the side of cloth (30) opposite to the side thereof on which the button body mentioned above is set in place to nip the cloth therebetween and to fixedly secure the button body to the cloth. Further, it is desirable that the above-mentioned cap and the insert should also be made of an aluminum alloy.

    • A garment fastening system for use with a pair of pants having a pair of adjoining leg segments joined at a crotch area, a waistband encircling the top opening of the pants which parts at a fly opening, wherein the fly opening consists of adjacent fly flaps, comprising hook and loop fastener strips permanently secured to each of the adjacent fly flaps to help individuals who have a difficulty in manipulating a zipper to dress into or out of the pants. In another embodiment, the garment fastening system is used with a dress shirt consisting of a pair of adjacent shirt halves, and a pair of shirt sleeve having a cuff opening, wherein the cuff opening consists of a pair of adjacent cuff flaps. The garment fastening system comprises a first set of hook and loop fastener segments sized and shaped to appear as standard buttons cooperatively arranged between the edges of shirt halves, and a second set of hook and loop fastener segments cooperatively arranged between the adjacent cuff flaps in such manner as to facilitate the quick and unencumbered opening and closing of the shirt halves and the cuff flaps.
