    • An ultra wideband dual-frequency combiner includes a combination port (Port 1), a first port (Port 2) a second port (Port 3), two coaxial resonator band pass filters and two direct current channels. The first direct current channel is connected between the first port (Port 2) and the combination port (Port 1). The second direct current channel is connected between the second port (Port 3) and the combination port (Port 1). One end of the first coaxial resonator hand pass filters (610, 611) is electrically connected with the first port (Port 2) via a first blocking capacitor. One end of the second coaxial resonator hand pass filter (620, 621) is electrically connected with the second port (Port 3) via a second blocking capacitor. The other ends of the first coaxial resonator band pass filter and the second coaxial resonator band pass filter are connected with the combination port (Port 1) via a third blocking capacitor. The blocking capacitors are parameter distributed capacitors.

    • A portable electronic device includes a main body, a compartment and a transmission line. The transmission line has a cable and a connector part. One end of the cable is electrically connected to the main body, and the other end of the cable extends out from the main body and is connected to the connector part. The compartment defines a receiving space therein. The compartment is pivotally connected to one end of the main body and has a closed position and an open position relative to the end of the main body. The connector part and the cable are received in the receiving space and concealed by the compartment when the compartment is in the closed position. The connector part is detachably connected to an external device with the cable being pulled out from the receiving space of the compartment when the compartment is in the open position.

    • Disclosed is a method, a device, such as a mobile station, and an information bearing medium that tangibly embodies a program of machine-readable instructions that are executable by a digital processing apparatus to perform operations to receive data packets. In this case the operations include verifying the correctness of a received data packet; storing a data packet found to have an incorrect TCP layer header checksum and signaling the source of the received data packets and, in response to receiving another instance of a previously received incorrect data packet, verifying the correctness of the received another instance of the data packet and, if correct, using information obtained from verifying the correctness of a header of the received another instance of the data packet to re-verify the correctness of the at least one stored data packet that was previously found to be incorrect. The correctness of the received data packet is preferably verified by use of a PPP layer FCS checksum, an IP layer header checksum and a TCP layer checksum. The data packet headers are preferably compressed by using a V-J header compression technique.

The method includes: (a) simultaneously demodulating a digital paging channel (DPCH) from individual ones of N base stations using a plurality of fingers (78), where N is greater than one; (b) soft combining (82A,82B) the outputs of those fingers that receive the DPCH from an individual one of the N base stations and storing the combined soft outputs in an individual one of N buffers (84A,84B); and (c) separately decoding (90) the content of each of the N buffers to determine if a page for the mobile station was received from at least one of the N base stations.
