    • A camera module which can switch a photographing mode of the camera module between a normal photographing mode and a macro photographing mode is provided without using any hand-manipulated lever. The camera module includes a housing, a holder having a lens unit and displaceable between a first position and a second position, a magnetic member provided on the holder, a coil provided on the holder adjacent to the magnetic member for magnetizing the magnetic member, a first magnet provided inside the housing and having N pole which faces the magnetic member at the first position of the holder, and a second magnet provided inside the housing and having S pole which faces the magnetic member at the second position of the holder. When a positive DC is supplied to the coil, the magnetic member is magnetized to have an N polarity so as to be repelled to the N pole of the first magnet and attracted to the S pole of the second magnet and it is held at that position by stopping the supply of the current due to the magnetic force of the second magnet. That is, the holder is displaced from the first position to the second position to take the macro photographing mode. On the other hand, when a negative DC is supplied to the coil, the magnetic member is magnetized to an S polarity so as to be repelled to the S pole of the second magnet and attracted to the N pole of the first magnet and it is held at that position by stopping the supply of the DC current due to the magnetic force of the first magnet. That is, the holder is displaced from the second position to the first position to take the normal photographing mode.
