摘要： A method, apparatus and computer program for preferentially displaying partial information related to one of a plurality of network equipment connected to a network being managed by a network management system. The partial information is required for network management to be conducted from the network equipment. A managed terminal is included in each network equipment connected to the network. The network management system collects management information from each of the network equipment connected to the network and stores the management information therein. When conducting network management from the network equipment, the managed terminal thereof sends a request for network management to the network management system. The network management system transfers a program for managing the network to the managed terminal. The transferred program informs the network management system of the identification of the managed terminal and the network management system transfers partial information related to the managed terminal to the managed terminal based on the identification. The managed terminal then displays the transferred partial information so that network management can be conducted from the network equipment.

A system management apparatus collects performance information from a network device, and calculates the average value, the peak hour, and the variance from the collected performance information. In response to a request for addition of a business system, the system management apparatus builds configuration patterns of a group of virtual servers configuring the business system and monitors traffic states of the paths on the network, identifies the part of the network where the traffic quality is most degraded, and determines the pattern that includes the path which has the smallest variance in the traffic based on traffic information on the part where the communication quality is degraded identified in each pattern as the requested system configuration of the business system.

A path information generation part of a network monitoring device receives a destination IP address designated by a user as an object of monitoring. When the input of the destination IP address is received, the path information generation part uses configuration information tables, which store configuration information of a device on a network being monitoring, to identify IP addresses of networks to which a plurality of terminals belong, as branch IP addresses. Further, the path information generation part uses the configuration information tables and transfer destination information tables which store a routing table of a router on the network, in order to identify the connection order of routers between the designated destination IP address and the identified branch IP addresses, to generate path information.

摘要： In a network management system in which a management application performs management operations on respective managed objects in a communication network, a template management portion stores a processing sequence described by the user into a database, and when a start request is given from a management application, a processing sequence execution portion issues a table generating request to an internal table generating portion. The internal table generating portion generates tables and then delivers an end report and the generated tables to the processing sequence execution portion, so that the processing sequence execution portion executes management operations for managed objects on the basis of the set of tables. The aforementioned processing is repeated whenever a start-up request arises from the management application. Thus, a user not only can describe behavior of management services without consciousness of a program language but also can execute management operations by describing the behavior.
