    • The present invention provides an ink set for ink-jet recording comprising: a water-based ink composition which includes water, a coloring material, and resin particles having a minimum film-forming temperature MFT0 of 60° C. or higher when prepared as an aqueous dispersion; and an aqueous treatment liquid which includes water, an aggregation agent that forms an aggregate when contacted with the water-based ink composition, and a water-soluble organic solvent prepared such that a minimum film-forming temperature MFT25 of the resin particles is at least 50° C. lower than MFT0 in the aqueous dispersion when a mixed liquid is prepared wherein the mixed liquid includes a mixture of the resin particles, water, and the water-soluble organic solvent in an amount of 25% by mass relative to the solid content of the resin particles; and an ink-jet recording method using the ink set.
