    • A keyboard includes a plurality of key row holders each supporting a plurality of key elements constituting each of the plurality of key rows, a support shaft placed to be rotatable about an axial center and support the plurality of key row holders arranged to intersect the axial center, an engaging portion formed on a support surface of each of the plurality of key row holders for the support shaft, and an engaged portion formed spirally on a surface of the support shaft in a direction of the axial center so as to be engaged with the engaging portion of each of the plurality of key row holders, the engaged portion causing the plurality of key row holders to shift in the direction of the axial center by an engagement with the engaging portion upon rotation of the support shaft. The keyboard enables easy and accurate key pitch adjustment.

    • A process for manufacturing a liquid crystal display, comprising the steps of providing a first base plate of a resin and a second base plate of a resin, providing at least one of the base plates with an electrically connecting terminal, forming an opening in a base plate of the base plates opposite the electrically connecting terminal when the base plates are bonded to each other, providing at least one of the base plates with a seal, bonding the base plates to each other by means of the seal, providing a space between the base plates with a liquid crystal, and separating the base plates on a line adjoining an edge of the opening. The opening protects the connecting terminal from being physically damaged and separated at the separation step to improve the production yield of the display.

    • In an apparatus of operating an injection compression molding machine having a stationary metal mold, a movable metal mold, an oil pressure actuator for advancing the movable metal mold toward the stationary metal mold to form a mold cavity therebetween with a predetermined compression clearance .delta. left between the movable and stationary metal molds, a heating cylinder adapted to engage with the stationary metal mold, a hopper for supplying a thermoplastic resin into the heating cylinder, a screw contained in the heating cylinder for injecting molten metal into the mold cavity, an oil pressure motor for rotating the screw and a piston cylinder unit for reciprocating the screw through the heating cylinder, the molten resin is filled in the mold cavity by advancing the screw and the advancement of the movable metal mold is started when the screw reaches a predetermined set position during an injection stroke so as to reduce the compression clearance .delta. and to increase the pressure acting upon the molten resin injected into the mold cavity.
