    • An image recording apparatus having a laser beam source which emits a laser beam, and an incident angle changing device for changing an incident angle, in a sub scanning direction of the laser beam emitted from the laser beam source, onto a light sensitive material. The incident angle changing device changes the incident angle of the laser beam emitted from the laser beam source on the light sensitive material from &thgr;1 to &thgr;2. The incident angle &thgr;1, an incident angle &thgr;1′ at which the laser beam is incident at the incident angle &thgr;1 on the light sensitive material, is incident in the light sensitive material. The incident angle &thgr;2, an incident angle &thgr;2′ at which the laser beam is incident at the incident angle &thgr;2 on the light sensitive material, is incident in the light sensitive material. One of integers N satisfies the following formula: (N+0.5−(0.7/&ggr;))
