摘要： A lever type connector comprising: a first connector; a second connector which is fitted into the first connector; a lever which is rotatably mounted on the first connector; and a pin which projects from the second connector; the lever being formed with an engageable hole such that the pin is inserted into the engageable hole when the second connector is fitted into the first connector; wherein by rotating the lever in an operational direction of the lever, the second connector is pulled towards the first connector through the pin upon displacement of the engageable hole so as to be fitted into the first connector; wherein the engageable hole is shaped such that the lever is automatically raised in the operational direction of the lever at a position where the pin is inserted into an inlet of the engageable hole.

摘要： This invention provides a connector which can positively effect coupling and detaching of a female connector, prevent electric shock and short-circuiting, and prevent an electric failure arising from contamination by extraneous substances. A lid plate 15 is biased by a compression coil spring 22 so that the lid plate is held by limit projections 26 at a protection position for covering male terminals 12 when a female connector is not coupled to the connector. Even if the lid plate 15 is pushed down by an external force so that the male terminals 12 are exposed from the lid plate 15, it can return to the protection position by itself when the external force is released. Since the lid plate 15 is constrained from rotating circumferentially at the protection position, the male terminal 12 smoothly passes through a terminal-through hole 16 in the lid plate 15 when the female connector 40 is inserted into a hood 13 and then the male terminals 12 are connected to female terminals 43. When the female connector 40 is extracted from the hood 13, the lid plate 15 is moved to the protection position by a bias of the compression coil spring 22. The terminal-through holes 16 in the lid plate 15 are closed by deformable tongue pieces of a dust-proofing rubber plate 150 to prevent the entrance of dust, water, or the like.

摘要： An electrical connector with an openable cover. The front half of an upper wall of the connector housing is removed to provide an opening with a slide cover provided for covering the opening. A peep notch is formed in the front edge of the upper wall of the connector. The slide cover is configured such that in a closed position a peep gap appears between the rear edge of the slide cover and the front top edge of the connector housing. A retainer mechanism is provided on the cover which comprises an angular projection formed on the slide cover and having a guide surface, and a retainer projection formed on the lower surface of the front edge of the housing whereby the retainer projection is guided by the guide surface to be engaged with the angular projection locking the slide cover in its closed position. A resilient, cantilever type, retainer piece is provided for insuring a positive, locked seating with a mating connector. The slide cover has a depressible plate of a cantilever type disposed parallel to the resilient retainer piece and has an urging projection formed on its lower surface at its free end. When the slide cover is in its retracted position the urging projection is positioned at an intermediate point of the retainer piece so that the retaining piece is moved downward and the connector is released from the mating connector in response to depression of the depressible plate.
