摘要： A heat dissipating device which dissipates heat generated by a heat generating object mounted on a base includes a heat sink body, a heat-conducting area, a tip portion, an inclined surface, and a fastener. The heat-conducting area includes the tip portion, which is a substantially middle portion of the heat-conducting area and is arranged substantially closest to the heat generating object among the other areas of the heat-conducting area, and the inclined surface which is a part of the heat-conducting area and inclines outwardly from the tip portion such that a distance between the inclined surface and the heat generating object gradually increases. The fastener includes an attaching portion to mount the heat dissipating device to the base, and the attaching portion is arranged substantially radially outside of an outer peripheral portion of the heat generating object. When the attaching portion is secured to the base, the tip portion of the heat-conducting area is pressed to the heat generating object.

A thickness of one or more heat radiating fins (2) facing to the protruding portion (13) is larger than a thickness of other heat radiating fins.

摘要： A method for manufacturing a heat sink for use in a heat sink fan is provided. A heat-sink base portion defining a central axis and a circumferential surface is formed. A plurality of heat-radiating fins is formed on the circumferential surface of the base portion. Each of the heat radiating fins extends away from the central axis and defines at least one radially distal edge. After the base portion and the heat-radiating fins are formed, a distal-edge protrusion or a recess is formed on or in at least one of the heat radiating fins by a machining process, so as to form partially along the envelope of the heat sink at least one discrete engagement feature.

摘要： A heat sink fan of the present invention includes a heat sink and an axial flow fan, and the axial flow fan includes a motor, an impeller and a housing. An outer wall surface of a cylindrical portion of the housing is formed with an arm which engages with the heat sink and fixes the housing and the heat sink. The arm is provided with a lead wire retaining hook. A interspace is formed between the lead wire retaining hook and the arm, and the lead wire is detachably held in the interspace. The packing or transportation operation is enhanced, and convenience of mounting operation of the lead wire to electronic equipment is enhanced.
