摘要： An optical signal transmitter includes: first outer modulator to generate first modulated optical signal, the first outer modulator including a pair of optical paths and a first phase shifter to give phase difference to the pair of optical paths; second outer modulator to generate second modulated optical signal, the second outer modulator including a pair of optical paths and a second phase shifter to give phase difference to the pair of optical paths; combiner to generate polarization multiplexed optical signal by combining the first and second modulated optical signals; phase controller to control the phase difference by the first phase shifter to A−Δφ and control the phase difference by the second phase shifter to A+Δφ; and power controller to control at least one of the first and second outer modulators based on AC component of the polarization multiplexed optical signal.

摘要： Branches are grouped into a group 1 including first and second branches, and a group 2 including third and fourth branches. The signal after being passed through a dual pin photodiode in one branch included in the group 1 and being at the earlier stage of a CDR circuit is obtained. Also, from the later stage of the CDR circuit in the other branch in the group 1 is obtained. The obtained signals are passed through low pass filters, and an average value over a plurality of symbols is obtained. The signal from the earlier stage of the CDR circuit is multiplied by the signal from the later stage, and they are averaged. The obtained value reflects the phase difference of the two delay interferometers in the group 1. The group 2 is monitored by using the same method.

摘要： A Peltier control circuit detects a temperature of a device combined with a Peltier device and controls a current flowing through the Peltier device so as to keep the temperature of the device at a predetermined value. The circuit has a temperature sensing section for detecting the temperature of a device, a comparing section for comparing a temperature detection value with a predetermined temperature reference value, a limiting section for providing a comparison output with the limitation of a current flowing through the Peltier device and providing the limitation with a predetermined temperature characteristics, and a driving section for providing the Peltier device with an input or output driving current in accordance with the comparison output via the limiting section.
