摘要： A method and apparatus of splicing a train for veneer sheets being fed in a horizontal direction on infeed and outfeed conveyors operated by electric sensors that signal the conveyors to start or to stop at predetermined appropriate times when the preceding and succeeding veneer sheets pass certain predetermined positions, coordinated with application of a strand and beads of a thermoplastic adhesive onto said train of the veneer sheets on conveyors by a cold press. According to this method and apparatus, the splicing of veneer sheets may be achieved with an increased speed and strength of splicing in the transverse direction, in comparison with conventional method and apparatus.

摘要： It is an object of the invention to improve output precision of a final recognition result by further obtaining and applying a forward-chain probability in addition to a backward-chain probability in a Bi-gram statistic process, as a post-processing in the case where a plurality of candidate characters are outputted to one input pattern as a result of character recognition. An apparatus according to the invention has a backward-chain dictionary and a forward-chain dictionary of characters, obtains a chain probability from the i-th character to the (i+1)th character by using the backward-chain dictionary, further obtains a chain probability from the (i+1)th character to the i-th character by using the forward-chain dictionary, and selects the character of the final output result from a plurality of candidate characters on the basis of a value obtained by unifying those chain probabilities.

摘要： A control system for a hybrid vehicle accurately determines the start (i.e. ignition) of an internal combustion engine and suppresses the peak PK in the actual rotational speed. The hybrid vehicle is provided with a motor control unit for, at the time of starting the internal combustion engine, driving the motor to rotate at a target motor rotational speed and with a vehicle control unit for, when the rotational speed of the internal combustion engine has reached a predetermined value, outputting an ignition command to start the internal combustion engine. After the ignition command is output to the internal combustion engine, the vehicle control unit calculates the difference between the target rotational speed of the motor and the actual rotational speed of the motor, and if the difference exceeds a predetermined value, determines that the ignition of the internal combustion engine has been effected. In this manner, the start of the internal combustion engine can be accurately detected. Once start of the internal combustion engine has been confirmed, the motor is controlled accordingly. As a result, the peak PK is suppressed.
