    • A method and apparatus remove color noise of an image signal in which a distortion of a YCbCr color space caused by noise is corrected using correlations between color channels in the YCbCr color space of low frequency (LF) and high frequency (HF) components of an image signal while maintaining the HF component. The apparatus includes: a separator separating the image signal including a luminance signal and a chrominance signal into an LF component and an HF component; an LF noise remover removing noise of the LF component from the image signal; an HF noise remover applying a linear variation rate of the chrominance signal with regard to the luminance signal of the noiseless LF component to the HF component separated from the image signal and generating a new HF component; and a combiner combining the noiseless LF component and the new HF component.

The image processing apparatus includes an image dividing unit for obtaining a plurality of first sub-image data items corresponding to a plurality of first sub-images that are obtained by dividing a first image corresponding to first image data, a noise reducing unit for obtaining a plurality of second sub-image data items corresponding to a plurality of second sub-images by reducing noise in the first sub-images from the first sub-image data items that are obtained by the image dividing unit, and an image synthesizing unit for obtaining second image data corresponding to a second image corresponding to the plurality of second sub-images from the plurality of second sub-image data items that are obtained by the noise reducing unit.

    • An image processing apparatus and an image processing method, the method including: providing one or more low dynamic range images having different exposure levels; classifying each of the one of more low dynamic range images as a saturation region, an under-saturation region, and a non-saturation region with respect to an intensity value; generating feature maps indicating a similarity between patterns of the non-saturation regions; generating final feature maps converting pixels included in the feature maps into moving pixels and non-moving pixels; defining moving regions and non-moving regions included in the one or more low dynamic range images; removing noise from the moving regions and the non-moving regions by using a first noise reduction filter for the moving regions and a second noise reduction filter for the non-moving regions; and generating a radiance map corresponding to the one or more low dynamic range images.
