摘要： A process for preparing benzotriazolyl-alkylene bisphenol compounds which comprises reacting a 2-hydroxyphenylbenzotriazole and a 2,4-substituted phenol with an aldehyde in the presence of a basic catalyst and an amine compound; benzotriazolyl-alkylene bisphenol compounds obtained by the process; and stabilized organic materials containing the resulting benzotriazolyl-alkylene bisphenol compounds in an amount of 0.01-10 percent by weight. It is possible to prepare the benzotriazolyl-alkylene bisphenol compounds at a high yield, and organic materials can be effectively stabilized with the resulting compounds.

The excluding portion and the introduction portion each have an outer diameter that allows insertion into a treatment instrument channel of an endoscope. The excluding portion is configured by a movable wire and a plurality of fixed wires, the movable wire extends through the introduction portion, proximal ends of the fixed wires are fixed to a distal end of the introduction portion, and a distal end of the movable wire and distal ends of the fixed wires are joined to each other. A proximal end of the movable wire is pulled with the handle portion toward the handle portion so the excluding portion develops a cocoon shape. The retractor is useful in minimally-invasive surgery.

摘要： The present invention provides a tuner apparatus operating as a common tuner capable of receiving both satellite digital TV and terrestrial TV broadcasting. A tuner configured, according to the invention operates as follows. As the tuner apparatus receives satellite TV broadcasting, intermediate-frequency signals SIF1 are supplied to its quadrature detector circuit where the SIF1 signals are demodulated into baseband signals SI and SQ by using oscillation signals supplied thereto from its oscillator. As the tuner apparatus receives terrestrial TV or CATV broadcasting, terrestrial TV or CATV broadcast wave signals are supplied to its mixer circuit where these signals are frequency-converted into intermediate-frequency signals SIF1 that fall within the bandwidth of the satellite TV broadcasting SIF1 signals. The first intermediate-frequency signals SIF1 are supplied to the quadrature detector circuit where the SIF1 signals are frequency-converted into second SIF2 signals by using oscillation signals supplied thereto from the oscillator.

摘要： A deodorant composition comprises an activated carbon, a binder, an argillaceous material, and a basic zinc carbonate. A deodorant is manufactured by the following steps: (a) a mixing step of the composition materials, (b) a kneading step to knead the mixture, (c) an extrusion to shape the kneaded mixture into a honeycomb structured solid or a powder, and (d) a drying step to remove moisture from the solid. The honeycomb structured deodorant has excellent odor absorption particularly for odors, hydrocarbons, and nitrogen oxides in vehicle exhausts.
