摘要： There is provided a vacuum control system for allowing the degree of vacuum in a vacuum vessel to be kept constant, effectively and accurately removing vaporized components degassed into the vacuum vessel through a gas permeation diaphragm by stably introducing a very small amount of air into a vacuum exhaust path, and thus operating stably, and a vacuum degassing apparatus employing the vacuum control system. The vacuum control system controls the rotatory power of a DC brushless motor, continuously controls displacement of a vacuum pump, and thus keeps the degree of vacuum in a vacuum vessel constant, by decompressing the inside of the vacuum vessel using an exhaust vacuum pump which operates with the DC brushless motor, monitoring the inside pressure of the vacuum vessel using a pressure sensor, and controlling a voltage applied to the DC brushless motor on the basis of an output signal resulting from measurement of the inside pressure of the vacuum vessel by the pressure sensor.

摘要： A method for continuously steaming rice includes the steps of evenly placing rice on a moving carrying surface of a single conveyor belt after the rice absorbed water, primarily steaming the rice by blowing steam to the rice placed on the carrying surface, sprinkling of hot water to be absorbed into the rice, and secondarily steaming the rice by blowing steam into the rice. These steps are performed successively without agitating the rice on the single conveyor belt within a sealed housing. The apparatus has a housing (4, 5) made up of a lower housing member (4) and an upper housing member (5) capable of moving vertically relative to the lower housing member (4). The boundary between the upper and lower housing members (5,4) is sealed by drained water during a steaming step.

摘要： A silver halide color photosensitive material which forms a cyan dye that has superior heat resistance and that will not readily fade in a reducing atmosphere. The silver halide color photosensitive material contains in at least one layer on a support at least one coupler represented by formula (I): ##STR1##wherein R.sup.1 represents hydrogen atom or a substituent; R.sup.2 represents a substituent; X represents hydrogen atom or a group releasable on a coupling reaction with an oxidation product of a color developing agent; Z.sup.1 represents a nonmetallic atom group necessary for forming a nitrogen-containing, six-membered, heterocyclic ring which has at least one dissociative group: Z.sup.1 cannot be --C(.dbd.O)--N(R)-- C(.dbd.O)--NH--; and R represents a substituent.Also disclosed is a novel dye forming coupler which exhibits a high coupling activity and which gives a dye having a large molar extinction coefficient and superior stability, the coupler being represented by the following formula (XX) or (XXI). Also disclosed is a silver halide color photosensitive material which contains at least one of the dye forming couplers of formulae (XX) and (XXI) and which provides sharp dye images with high fastness properties. ##STR2## wherein EWG represents an electron withdrawing group having a Hammett's .sigma..sub.p value of not less than 0.3; R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 each represent a substituent; and X represents hydrogen atom or a group releasable on a coupling reaction with an oxidation product of an aromatic primary amine developing agent.
