    • The present invention relates to a mounting adapter for releasably securing accessories, tools, or their medical instruments to the distal end of an endoscope. The adapter is compatible with endoscopic accessories that have a cylindrical mounting surface, which becomes positioned over a length of the distal end of an endoscope. The adaptor is preferably provided in two components to support both ends of a cylindrical accessory on the endoscope surface. The adapter is configured to hold the accessory on the endoscope shaft by frictional engagement and is configured to maintain the accessory concentric with the shaft along its length. The adapter also is configured to mount an accessory to a wide range of commercially available endoscope diameters.

    • A apparatus is disclosed that is adapted for delivery of a multiplicity of pre-loaded ligating bands within patient, such as to treat hemorrhoidal tissue. The apparatus comprises a delivery member that includes a tissue receiving chamber at the distal end that communicates with a passageway that represents part of the main suction pathway that connects with a suction means. The proximal portion of the apparatus includes an actuating mechanism that is operatively connected to one or more band carrier elements, such as strands with bead-like retainers, which receive and urge the ligating bands over the delivery member for deployment. The actuating mechanism and suction actuating interface are configured such that they can be controlled while the operator retains the other hand for another operation, such as to manipulate an anoscope. In one embodiment, the proximal portion includes a pistol-shaped grip portion, while the actuating mechanism comprises a knurled wheel.

    • A bone cutting and injecting device for cutting maxillary bone and injecting a filler through the maxillary bone under a subantral membrane to separate the subantral membrane from the maxillary bone and fill the space formed therebetween. The device includes a hollow tubular element having a diameter sized to be inserted into a pilot hole in the maxillary bone, a piston longitudinally displaceable within the hollow tubular element, and a cutter mounted to the piston and operably disposed adjacent the distal end of the hollow tubular element. A fluid path is defined through the hollow tubular element for guiding the filler, and the cutter is configured to redirect the filler in a transverse or radial direction relative to the longitudinal axis of the tubular element.
