    • The various embodiments of present invention provide cleaning devices, methods, and systems for cleaning conveyor belts and conveying systems. A conveyor belt cleaning device can include a bar having a first end, a second end, and an outer surface, and sprockets coupled to the outer surface. The conveyor belt cleaning device can also include nozzles coupled to the outer surface. The nozzles can define a spray pattern that converges upon the entire length of a conveyor belt. The bar can be utilized with any conveyor system. In addition, various types of sprockets and nozzles can be used in accordance with the present invention. The nozzles can also be positioned in nozzle rings extending around the bar, and multiple nozzle rings can be positioned along the length of the bar. Other embodiments are also claimed and described.

    • A data storage system includes a data read/write device which can be incorporated in electronic data processing (EDP) devices with the external shape of an 88.9 mm (31/2 inch) diskette drive, which contains a read/write head and a controller, which transacts the protocol to write and read and is connected with a processor of the EDP device, and further includes a data carrier constructed as a smart-diskette in the shape and the dimensions of a 88.9 mm (31/2 inch) diskette which can be inserted into the data read/write device. The data carrier has electronic components, including controller, microprocessor and memory as well as a stationary magnetic transducer which is firmly connected with the data carrier. Data transfers are carried out through and between the read/write head and the stationary magnetic transducer. The data read/write device has no moving parts at all, i.e., there is no drive motor for a magnetic diskette present, and the read/write head is fastened stationarily in the data read/write device, so that data exchanges between the data read/write device and the data carrier constructed as a smart-diskette are carried out only through the read/write head and the stationary magnetic transducer with the data carrier microprocessor and memory.

    • The vehicle weighing system for a towed vehicle includes removable stub axles and a hitch rigidly connected to a load support. The hitch and one or more of the stub axles are gauged in an identical manner. Two active electrical strain gauges are placed in a hole formed in the supporting member to be gauged, such hole extending normal to the direction of the load. The hole is placed adjacent the end of the supporting member which is remote from the load support and the two gauges are oriented to reduce the moment sensitivity of the system to a minimum. The hitch is provided with additional compensating gauges which are not responsive to strain, and the axle and hitch gauges are connected to form a measuring bridge circuit. The gauging holes are sealed by end plugs, a printed circuit board, potting compound and a boot, all of which are flexible so as not to interfere with the weight measurement.
