    • A connector body includes two latch plates which detachably fix different connector bodies. The two latch plates are configured to be able to fix the one connector body to the other connector body at a step portion on the other connector body. The step portion is at a position which is different from an airtight portion of an O-ring used to establish airtightness between a fluid path of a connector chassis and a fluid path of the other connector body. Therefore, a blood-pressure measuring device is obtained in which a blood-pressure measuring device main body and a cuff are easily connected while damage of a tube or a piping component can be prevented.

    • When a predetermined condition for measurement is selected from a plurality of conditions for measurement by operating one of measurement switches before measuring the blood pressure, a pressure begins to be applied to a bladder in response to the selection and the measurement of the blood pressure starts. The measured data of the blood pressure and the selected condition for measurement are linked to each other and stored in a memory. Because the measurement of the blood pressure starts upon selection of the predetermined condition by operating one of the measurement switches, one operation can serve both as switching to instruct the starting of the measurement and selecting the predetermined condition for measurement. Thus, an additional operation for inputting a condition for measurement is not necessary, and this makes it possible to prevent forgetting to input or incorrectly inputting a condition for measurement from occurring.

    • This electronic blood pressure measurement device includes a cuff with pressurization, draining, and sensing means, a means for generating from the cuff pressure signal a pulse wave signal, and a means for determining for the patient a value for systolic blood pressure. This blood pressure determining means detects an interval during which the amplitude of the pulse wave signal increases substantially linearly, and sets the systolic blood pressure value using the pulse wave amplitude at the end of that interval. Optionally but desirably, this means locates an approximate start of the linear interval as being a point where the pulse wave amplitude has a certain relation to the pulse wave amplitude at the end of the interval, and determines the value for systolic blood pressure to be the cuff pressure at such an approximate start of the interval. The approximate start of the interval may be determined as the point where the pulse wave amplitude is a certain proportion of the pulse wave amplitude at the end of the interval; and this certain proportion may be approximately 60%. An operational method for this device is also disclosed.
