The container has a shape such that a top container perimeter has a first length, and a bottom container perimeter has a second length which is great than the first length. The container also has a tab (124) extending outward from a side surface of the container. The packaging further comprises a sleeve (104) adapted to slide over the top of the container, the sleeve having a bottom opening that has a sleeve bottom perimeter that has a third length that is greater than the first length and less than the second length such that the sleeve will not slide over the bottom of the container. The sleeve includes an engaging member (132) adapted to engage the tab.

    • An I/O circuit for use with an industrial controller provides an input circuit with low power dissipation through the use of a series connected substantially nonresistance impedance. An AC waveform input activates a light emitting diode (LED) bridge to provide an optical signal which illuminates a photosensitive solid-state switch thereby providing optical isolation between the industrial controller and the controlled process or machine. By using a series connected substantially nonresistance impedance, reduced current demand by the input circuit may be realized, which allows reduced power dissipation. As a result, the same circuit allows receiving input signals over a greater range, such as 120 volts AC and 240 volts AC, and allows significantly smaller components with closer spacing for a more compact design.

    • A lace or draw string fastening system can include a clamping unit and a capture element. The clamping unit can clamp onto the laces, such as shoe laces, to tighten the shoes and the capture element can capture and contain the free ends of the laces that extend from the clamping unit to prevent tripping by securing them to other portions of the laces or the article that houses the laces. The fastening system can be used in a shoe lace fastening system without the need for knot tying. The clamping unit can clamp the laces together at the top of the shoe to hold the laces tight while the capture element can contain or secure the free ends of the shoe lace to the shoe or the laces adjacent the toe to prevent tripping.

    • A DAC (1) has a switched element capacitor (7, Cr) to which charge is delivered via switches (6, S1/S2) depending on required analog voltage level (Vref1, Vref2). An output switch (S3) is closed and a ground switch (S4) is opened to deliver charge to the output according to received bi-level digital inputs (+1, −1). The control block (2) has a memory and determines an inactive output level if there is an input digital transition from +1 to −1 or from −1 to +1. For the inactive level S3 is kept open and S4 is kept closed. Thus, for every clock cycle with one of these transitions there is no charge transfer and hence no thermal noise. Overall noise is therefore considerably reduced.
