摘要： In a fuel tank level sensor 1 for measuring a remaining amount of fuel in accordance with a resistance value which is varied by moving a rheostat 1a utilizing a float 1c that vertically moves according to increase and decrease of the fuel in a fuel tank 2, change in resistance value of the rheostat 1a includes a linear range in which the resistance value linearly varies with the increase and decrease of the fuel, and a non-linear range in which the resistance value discontinuously varies under full-tank conditions where the fuel tank is substantially filled up with the fuel. Even upon undesirable increase of the resistance value of the rheostat 1a as a result of deposition of sulfides, the sensor 1 can always detect accurately that the fuel tank 2 is filled up.

摘要： A direct fuel injection-type spark-ignition internal combustion engine is disclosed. The engine comprises a spark plug, a cavity formed on the top surface of the piston, and a fuel injection valve for injecting fuel into the cavity in nearly the flat fan shape having a relatively small thickness. An opposing side wall of the cavity opposite to the fuel injection valve, for leading the fuel to the vicinity of the spark plug, has an arcuate portion having a plurality of arcuate shapes in a plan view. The radius of arcuate shape at the both side parts of the arcuate portion in a plan view is smaller than the radius of arcuate shape at the center part of the arcuate portion in a plan view. The opposing side wall has a deflecting portion to deflect the fuel toward the inside of the cavity.

摘要： A hydrogen generator into which a mixed gas is run and out of which a reformed gas including hydrogen is discharged, which can reliably control the hydrogen concentration in the reformed gas to a desired concentration. The hydrogen generator is provided with an upstream side oxidation unit and a downstream side decomposition unit, burns part of the compound in the mixed gas in the oxidation unit using the oxygen in the mixed gas so as to generate heat of combustion, and uses the heat of combustion to break down another part of the compound in the mixed gas in the decomposition unit so as to generate hydrogen. The hydrogen generator is provided with a first temperature sensor controller.
