    • Network policies are managed based at least in-part on user/entity identity information with: a state monitor operable to monitor for state change events in user/entity state and related, network state or in traffic pattern and traffic flow state; an identity manager operable to obtain and validate user credentials; and a policy manager operable in response to a state change event detected by the state monitor (either the identity manager or a defense center) to select a policy based in-part on the user identity obtained by the identity manager or security context obtained by the defense center, and to prompt application of the selected policy. The policies are indicative of user/device authorization entitlements and restrictions to utilization of certain network resources, network services or applications. Dynamic policy selection and targeted responses can be used, for example, against a user who gains network access with stolen user ID and password, and subsequently attempts malicious behavior. In particular, the malicious behavior is detected and identified, and the malicious user can then be restricted from abusing network resources without adversely affecting other users, groups, network devices, and other network services.

    • A method for verifying that a physical location of a memory matches a design logical representation, without having to use a focused ion beam to physically damage a memory location. The method provides that either a temporary or permanent circuit “defect” is intentionally created in the physical layout. Then, the new electrical schematic is extracted from the modified physical layout. Subsequently, if the design “defect” which was created is temporary, the new electrical schematic is simulated, the logical address of the “defect” is determined, and the extracted logical address is compared to the expected address to verify the logical to physical correlation. Alternatively, if the design “defect” which was created is permanent, after the new electrical schematic is extracted from the modified physical layout, the product is fabricated and the known design “defect” location is used to correlate to the electrically-tested defect logical location.

    • A process for forming a laminated abrasion resistant product includes superposing at least one resin containing layer impregnated with abrasion-resistant particles, with respect to a substrate, and pressing the layer and substrate together in a press containing one or more hot platens for activating the resin or an adhesive between the layer and the substrate. The press includes one or more pressplates that engage a respective surface of the layer with a first textured face thereof to impart a corresponding finish to the engaged surface of the layer. At least one of the pressplates has a second textured face on the other side of the plate from the first textured face, the press further includes a protective layer adjacent the second textured face remote from the layer, for substantially protecting the second textured face against wear, whereby when the first textured face has been utilised for multiple press cycles and requires refinishing or refurbishing, the pressplate may be inverted for further press cycles utilising the second textured face. A press for forming a laminated abrasion resistant product is also disclosed.
