    • A digital display for an electronic timepiece having visual indication display segments peripherally disposed around a numerical display digit to selectively indicate a predetermined time zone corresponding to the time displayed by the numerical display digits is provided. The display is characterized by a bezel surrounding the plurality of visual indication display segments, the bezel having a plurality of first distinct indicia disposed therearound. Each of the first indicia are disposed proximate to the position of a visual indication display segment to identify the predetermined time zone selectively indicated by the visual identification display segment. A plurality of second indicia are disposed on the bezel, each second indicia being positioned between a specific visual indication display segment and a further first indicia representative of the time zone adjacent to the time zone represented by the specific visual indication display segment.

    • A battery monitoring circuit wherein the voltage discharge characteristic of a battery is utilized to facilitate detection of the impending failure of a battery is provided. The electronic timepiece includes a display device for displaying time in response to timekeeping signals applied thereto and is further adapted to indicate a voltage level representative of impending failure of a battery in response to an indication signal applied thereto. The battery is adapted to deliver at least two characteristic voltage levels, the first voltage level corresponding to a first plateau of discharge, and the second voltage level corresponding to a last plateau of discharge being sustained essentially at the second voltage level for a predetermined interval of time. A battery detection circuit detects the second voltage and in response thereto produces an indication signal, and timekeeping circuitry is provided for producing timekeeping signals in response to being energized at both characteristic voltage levels of the battery.

    • A conduction breaking device includes a movable member accommodated in an accommodation chamber of a case. A cutter portion projects from an advancing side of the movable member in the moving direction. A gas generator is arranged on the trailing side of the movable member in the moving direction. A conduction member extends to connect a pair of external connection portions and includes a pair of base portions and a breakable portion. The base portions are located in the side wall of the case and extend along the moving direction of the movable member. The breakable portion is shaped to connect the base portions to each other and to block the advancing side of the movable member in the moving direction. Step portions are formed in the breakable portion. Engaging portions that are engageable with the step portions are formed in the case.

    • An airbag apparatus for a front passenger's seat includes a case that includes a front storage area that has an airbag mounting plane and a rear storage area. A bottom wall of the rear storage area is located at a lower level than the airbag mounting plane of the front storage area. The airbag has a generally square conical contour whose top is disposed at the front end and includes proximate the front end a gas inlet port. The airbag is secured to the mounting plane of the case by the periphery of the gas inlet port. A lower folded-up portion that is formed by folding up a lower inflatable portion of the airbag is stored in the rear storage area of the case. The airbag apparatus further includes proximate left and right edges of an opening of the case in the rear storage area means for restraining emergence of the lower folded-up portion of the airbag from the opening of the case in an early stage of airbag deployment by holding down left and right end regions of the lower folded-up portion.

The case 25 includes a tubular inner wall portion 29. A plurality of claw portions 37 are arranged along a vehicle widthwise direction on the upper edge of a front inner wall 31 and a rear inner wall 32 of the tubular inner wall portion 29. The airbag cover 50 includes a tubular outer wall portion 53 having a plurality of engaging holes 57. The tubular outer wall portion 53 is engaged with the case 25 by inserting and engaging the claw portions 37 in the engaging holes 57. The front inner wall 31 and the rear inner wall 32 each include connected portions 66, to each of which a claw portion 37 is connected, and non-connected portions 65, to which no claw portion 37 is connected, along the arrangement direction of the claw portions 37. Two non-connected portions 65 are located on both sides of each connected portion 66.
