    • The invention proposes a novel method for handling acknowledgement messages between a first protocol layer (L1) and a second protocol layer (L2) in a network node operating as a relay network node (RN). The first protocol layer (L1) is lower with respect to the second protocol layer (L2). The acknowledgement messages (ACK) are related to Automatic Repeat Request (ARQ) processes and the Relay Node (RN) is engaged in an Uplink transmission towards a network access node (eNB). The method comprises a step (10) of receiving a first grant indication by said network access node (eNB) that an Uplink Transmission is granted at said first protocol layer entity (L1) and a step of sending (100) towards said second protocol layer entity (L1) an indication of Acknowledgement (ACK) after receiving a first grant indication. The invention also proposes a corresponding Relay Node (RN).

    • The present invention is directed to methods in a wireless communication network for allocating resource elements of a transmission resource to a control channel. The invention also relates to different nodes of a wireless communication network. The transmission resource comprises a first number of resource blocks each comprising one or a plurality of subsets of resource elements. One method in a control node comprises the steps: obtaining a bitmap for configuration of the transmission resource, wherein the bitmap is adapted to identify at least one subset of resource elements within the transmission resource (S1); allocating the at least one identified subset of resource elements to the control channel (S2); and transmitting control data on the at least one subset of resource elements allocated to the control channel to a receiving node (S3).

    • A method in a network node for transmitting an enhanced Control CHannel, eCCH, to a user equipment in a telecommunications system. The eCCH comprises control information to the user equipment in at least one Control Channel Element, CCE. The at least one CCE maps to a number of resource elements comprised in at least one enhanced resource element group. The at least one enhanced resource element group is comprised in at least one resource block in a time-frequency Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing, OFDM, grid. The network node decides to use a CCE aggregation level that is smaller than the smallest CCE aggregation level of a physical downlink control channel, PDCCH, for a first eCCH. The network node then modulates the first eCCH by using a higher order modulation than Quadrature Phase Shift Keying, QPSK, modulation, when the smaller CCE aggregation level is used for the first eCCH. Then, the network node maps the modulated first eCCH to the at least one enhanced resource element group of resource elements in the at least one resource block, and transmits the mapped first eCCH to the user equipment. A network node, a method in user equipment and a user equipment are also provided.
