摘要： A user enters data about a resource into a computer using a method wherein the user selects a data field in which the data is to be entered. In response to that selection, the computer reviews previously stored records related to the resource to find instances of data contained in the data field. Those instances then are displayed to the user, who selects of one of the instances as a value to be entered into the data field. Thus the user is provided with a list of previous values that are contained in the selected data field for the resource, which list facilitates locating and entering information in new records for this resource.

摘要： An acuity level is assigned to each inpatient at a medical facility and an employee scheduling program uses the patient acuity levels to calculate the number of employees that are required to provide care to the patients. A profile is compiled for each employee specifying that person's patient care capability. The calculated number of employees and the employee profiles are used to schedule employees during the work shifts at the medical facility. At various points in time, the actual amount of time an each employee has worked and the amount of time each employee is scheduled to work in the future are utilized to project whether an employee will work overtime. A supervisor is alerted to projected overtime and may reschedule employees to avoid incurring overtime.

摘要： Apparatus and method are provided for producing a package having a plurality of product-filled cells. The apparatus comprised a mechanism for producing a plurality of individual product-filled cells and for delivering the cells properly orientated. The apparatus further comprises a spraying mechanism for applying adhesive to the side of at least one of the individual cells and a mechanism for bringing the cells together into side-by-side contact with the adhesive-coated surface therebetween so as to bond the cells together to make a package. With certain adhesives, the cells can be removably attached together such that the package is severable into individual cells merely by pulling the cells apart along the bond. The method comprised the steps of producing the product-filled cells and applying adhesive to at least one of the cells. The method further comprises the steps of delivering the cells to guides and urging the cells along the guides until the cells are in side-by-side contact with the adhesive-coated surface therebetween, and then transferring the contacting cells to a holding station where the cells are held in side-by-side contacting relationship until the adhesive bonding of the cells has set.
