摘要： A tape dispenser includes a plastic injection molded frame with a resiliently flexible finger that helps prevent the free end of a roll of tape from accidentally retracting, falling back, and frustratingly sticking to the coiled portion of the tape. To avoid this problem, a distal end of the finger presses against the inner diameter of a cardboard or plastic spool about which the tape is wrapped. Friction between the finger's distal end and the spool's inner diameter inhibits reverse rotation of the spool. To avoid breaking the finger while forcefully loading the roll of tape into the dispenser during assembly, a lateral backstop surface on the dispenser prevents the spool from bending the finger too far in a laterally outward direction. To avoid breaking the finger during subsequent rough use, another backstop surface prevents the spool from bending the finger too far in a radially downward direction.

摘要： The present invention relates to road spikes that can made of long fiber reinforced thermoplastics that, when deployed, are geometrically positioned to puncture or disable a tire. The spikes can be formed of a long fiber reinforced thermoplastic containing 10-70% long fibers by weight. Spikes of this material can be made as direct and/or alternative replacements for existing metal spikes or as unique integrated devices. One integrated component is a device having several piercing elements that are deployed in a vertically divergent manner spaced about a vertical axis wherein at least one piercing element is directed towards the direction of the oncoming vehicle. In one embodiment deployable from a string, this is accomplished through the use of spikes with six piercing elements that are self-leveling and self-centering. In another embodiment, several clusters can be fixed to a tube that is foldable and extendable.

摘要： A scent-handling device for attracting wild game includes a plug that snugly fits into either end of a receptacle to selectively place the scent-handling device in a sealed mode for tightly containing a scent inside the receptacle and a wide-open aerating mode for releasing the scent. The device includes several well thought out features that allow it to be inexpensively manufactured by way of a straightforward plastic injection molding process. A resilient clip extending sideways from the receptacle allows the clip and the receptacle to be injection molded together as a unitary piece without having to resort to a complicated mold having expensive side-action pulls. The clip includes several teeth that allow both the receptacle and the plug to be firmly fixed to various size branches or other items, thereby avoiding the problem of startling skittish animals with something dangling from the branch, or dangling while in transport. The plug includes an O-ring seal to create a piston/cylinder affect as the plug is inserted into the receptacle. Consequently, air forcibly escaping from the receptacle as the plug is being inserted produces a reassuring sound indicative of a tightly sealed closure.
